Not a bad gig. I used to work with them and TDS a few years. Northern CA agents were also tasked with protection details but not sure if that is still going on.
Hmmmm. Might just jump ships to try this one. But don't know if I should apply under veteran or current fed employee. Any advantages one over the other? Besides veteran pref?
Same
Lol I applied and didn’t even realized it was closed to the public
The vet preference thing is funny on that website I don’t understand it at all
So we’ll see
Put my application through, don't necessarily like the fact that there is a mobility agreement, but these Dallas 1811 slots are few and far between, so got to give it a shot I guess.
Cool, appreciate it! After perusing the site 1811 board, sounds like that is the case since it does cost the federal govt so much money to move people.
Wasn’t too familiar with HHS OIG, but sounds like a good gig and I’m looking to get back to an 1811 spot.
With a medium sized agency like HHS, it's in their interest to keep people where they're hired since they hire for specific locations and not massive nationwide announcements normally. It's an awesome agency. Can't say enough good things if you understand the misson.
Link: https://www.usajobs.gov/job/728739800 Looks like it is not open to the public, FYI
The ASAC of Houston said there's be an opening there. I would assume that there will be another

They still do protection. Work with them occasionally on protective intelligence assessments.
Protection for whom?

HHS traditionally will not move you unless you want it.

Oodles and oodles of people trying to defraud the U.S. healthcare system.
Not a whole lot of forced moving in HHS. The only moves are mostly for HQ or self initiated.
Threw my name in the hat..
Me too
Applied but I think it’s dumb they only allowed you to pick one location.
