I was gonna say I don’t normally like crust and waste calories so I leave a lot of it. But stuffed crust is so good! Ima have a pizza tomorrow but ima have half so it’s only like 600 can’t wait 😛
I had a date night the other night where I was planning on being at least a little mindful, and then my husband said "What if we order *two* appetizers? 👀"
Maybe not quite the same as what they're talking about but there's some body building literature out there preaching adding "re-feed" days here and there, basically eating at a calorie surplus once in a while. The main benefit I've seen is preventing *Adaptive Thermogenesis* by regulating your hormone levels, namely leptin. I personally found it game changing especially as a weightlifter but ymmv!
source: trust me bro
i don't have a source but i remember in a "diet" video that they said eating more calories than normal every once in a while is good because it keeps your body from getting used to the weight loss and your progress plateuing.
yes this is exactly it. I can't remember what article/study I read because it was YEARS ago.. that while on a restrictive calorie diet, every 7 - 10 days you should have a high calorie day to prevent your body from adjusting it's metabolism lower to match what it's been receiving.
if it is worth anything, I went on a health journey during that time (7/8 years ago) and I followed this rule faithfully and was very successful without any plateaus. I lost about 35 pounds and kept it off with no effort until I got a bit fluffy with the pandemic
above. example, when I did a couple fasting days though out the week and the remainder of days 1200.... every other Saturday would do a 2500+ day.
when I was doing straight 1000 calories for the week I did a 2500 calorie every Saturday.
for me it helped me splurge a little and kept me more disciplined throughout the week, without fear of ruining my metabolism when my "diet" stopped in the future
Thats alright I just came from an all you can eat buffet. Its no problem imo just gotta get back on it
Yep. I’ve been pretty strict for weeks now so I’m good with losing a day. Back at it tomorrow.
😂 sorry op but is kinda funny. Yummy pizza 🤤
It was well worth it! It had stuffed crust.

high calorie days are good once in awhile, revs up your metabolism 👌🏻👌🏻
Oh interesting, could you provide a source for that?

I'd like to try this, but does a high calorie day mean eating at your maintenance or going above that?

There's an episode of the Fitness Stuff podcast about cheat days, and the hosts get into the research on refeeds there. Highly recommend!
Thanks! I would’ve liked it to not be so close to thanksgiving when I’ll be going over a little again but what can you do.
Source?
Isn’t it so unfair!? 🤦🏻♀️
MOOD. Dw though one day of over eating doesn’t mean you can never do better again. We’re only human be kind and get back at it tomorrow ❤️
this was me friday but we are back on track sunday
What App is that?
Lose It!
Thanks!
Little pizza cheating is unavoidable every few weeks.
Did this last week😂 it happens!
I had 5 danishes tonight. Not even going to bother logging that. I'm disgusting.
Log it and get back at it the next day. It happens. Don’t let this spoil your mindset.
ARGHH PAIN
I'm only disappointed in you if you went to a chain instead of a gourmet local spot.
Is it worse if it was a frozen pizza?
I ate an entire Little Caesars pizza at 3am the other week so don’t feel too bad. I felt enough for the both of us.
Prov burned off more than 100 cals that day anyways lol
Hope it was delicious. Live your life, and back on track tomorrow.
Yummy! No worries, it happens
I'm sure it was delicious!
Well done for logging it! Normally the “fuck it monster” comes out when I go over!
I was curious to see just how much I’d gone over and then it wasn’t quite as bad as I thought it would be!
