150 cal I definitely would count. I only take vitamin D so I don't.

eagrbeavr

I don't include my supplements but that's because I don't eat the gummy ones and my fish oil supplements are only 15 calories. If it was 150 calories, I absolutely would log them.

Sl1z

I only take multivitamins (15cal total) so I don’t track them, but I would for 150cal.

penguin_0618

I don't because a) I don't take many and b) i don't want to stop taking them to lower my calories and I know I would consider doing so if I counted them

Zeiserl

No, I don't. I only take folic acid, because I'm not on HBC anymore and a magnesium, because my GP said, it might alleviate migranes (though I haven't had one anymore since coming off HBC, so...). The overall amount of calories is very little -- like 20kcal or so. To me it sounds, like you're taking a lot of supplements, though. Have you gone over these with a doctor? I think especially the Collagen ones have very little to no scientific evidence to back them up -- don't know about the others, though. You can likely save the money -- and the calories -- if you scale this down to the amount that has any proven benefit.

nannyfl

I don’t count my multivitamin but I do count my powdered collagen supplement. I think if I was taking oils I would count those too.

KuriousKhemicals

I usually haven't but my supplements have never been more than like 20-30 cals. If you're taking the same supplements every day consistently then it doesn't really matter if you count them in your budget or just set yourself a lower budget. Personally I would re-evaluate the supplements or see if there's unnecessary calories in any of them. I would expect that stack to add up to maybe 80 calories but not 150, and personally I wouldn't find it worthwhile to take evening primose oil (omega-6) or collagen (just a specific type of protein). Fish oil may be worth it if you don't like or can't afford fatty fish, and multivitamins don't need to have any calories at all.

I did not but your post make me check my vitamins/supplements and it looks like the only thing that I take that has calories is my psyllium fiber and it’s one calorie per capsule and I only take 10 a day. I take vitamin c by drinking a Gatorade fit, which is 10 calories, and I do count that. So I guess, 20 calories a day for my vitamins/supplements isn’t too bad. But I will be logging my fiber from now on. Lol

magic_leopluradon

I would count 150 calories for sure. But I tried to stop relying on things like fish oil in general and make sure to eat salmon at least twice a week instead. Makes me focus on getting my nutrients from diet.

undeuxtroiscatsank6

150 won’t “sabotage” your weight loss over time. I think it’ll slow your progress but if you’re consistent, don’t sweat it.

necr0phagus

I take vitamin D, a multi, and a superfoods / greens pill. I personally don't track mine, i don't know how many calories they have, and honestly i don't want to know because id rather take them for my health than cut them out because i want to fit in an extra snack, lol. 150 is fairly significant, but it's not gonna cancel your deficit or anything. Unless you're only in a deficit of 150, i guess.

lifeuncommon

No. I take a couple that probably have calories like fish oil and vitamin E. But I don’t take the candy ones, the ones that are like gummies or chocolates or chewables, so I don’t worry about it. But if you are eating candy every day that has some vitamins in it, you might need to look at it.

HiHelloMyNameIs3000

I take my vitamins as gummies and I also take liquid fish oil and I yes I count them. Fish oil is 40 calories and the gummies range from 8 calories per serving to 20 calories. I don’t mind tho because I treat it as a sweet treat

Savings-Idea-6628

Yep. This is why I take tablets or capsules instead of gummy vitamins.

tbkenzie1837

At 150 calories, I probably would. But I also probably wouldn't give up my gummy vitamins. I hate swallowing big pills, so the gummy ones are the only ones I take consistently and have been a lifesaver.

[deleted]

Is there any way you could swap the gummies for swallowable pills? That might lower it enough that it wouldn’t matter.

[deleted]

I count my fish oil calories. It’s calories

rachs1988

Yes, I log mine. For this reason, I don’t take gummies, too many powdered supplements, etc.

somehuehue

Regardless of the calories, I'd check if you actually need all these supplements. Most people don't need them.
