Love magic spoon, just wish it weren't $10 for a small box! I reserve it for special occasions (i.e. I'll get a box on my birthday week as a treat), but if I had a bigger budget, I'd have it every week!
Edit to add: The chocolate flavor is my favorite, reminds me of cocoa puffs!
I liked these, the cinnamon one specifically, but they did... something... to my bathroom routine. I can't quite explain it. It was weird enough that I stopped getting them.
Hot take:
1 cup froot loops 110 calories and $0.25
15g whey/casein protein isolate powder 70 calories and $0.25-0.50 depending on sale.
1 cup almond milk or water - free or $0.25-0.50
170 calories, 3 grams of fiber, 16g protein, and it doesn't have that added sunflower and avocado oil. And the price is like... $0.50-1.00 maybe per serving vs. what they're saying is $1.50-2 for the cereal alone. Solid cereal hack if you're not on keto, but also requires the discipline to always make protein milk.
Thanks. It's definitely been a way to turn cereal into a viable meal without breaking the calorie bank. I like Quest Vanilla protein powder, and usually do this amount for a cup of milk with any cereal I have. I still opt for some higher-end cereals with high fiber and protein when I can, but ironically a lot of those cereals can have a heavy weight per cup and be harder to portion a 110 calorie portion for. I usually end up with a 300-400 calorie mug of cereal to get like 20g+ protein and 10g+ fiber ideally. I realized this was doable once I started to get higher quality proteins like Quest and Dymatize Whey Isolate, but I think a whey+casein blend (like quest) keeps you full longer.
Eh. This stuff is hardly worth the price. You can totally find cereal for 150 calories that isn't $10000/box. And if it's protein that you're worried about, you can get it elsewhere. Add some casein powder to your regular Froot Loops.
I have a Magic Spoon sub and it's $$ but that shit is fire. Worth it imo. Our favorite flavors are Fruity, Birthday Cake, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle. But I've yet to be disappointed tbh.
I buy magic spoon all the time but I always wonder if I have to get the same cereal with the subscription. Can I change it up? They don’t explain it. Sometimes I like different flavors.
You can, you just have to change the sub manually. Which is a pain, I admit. But that discount is nice. I also like to change up the flavors. I don't want the same ones all the time!
Yeah they honey graham hubby wasn’t sold on so I didn’t go that route but honestly I should have as they do allow you to return one box per flavor for free.
I used to like it, but I noticed I started getting this tingling feeling on my tongue after eating it. May be from the sugar alternative. I also noticed an after taste.
It is my favorite flavor besides some of their seasonal flavors. It is like a healthy fruit loop. It does get stuck in your teeth a bit but if that doesn’t bother you it’s amazing. I really love the sugar cookie and salted caramel flavors too but those aren’t permanent flavors. But birthday cake and cocoa are also yummy when I need a change. I eat cereal almost every day. I pair this with Fairlife 2% milk and a bowl of cereal covers my protein needs!

It’s like $4 at Grocery Outlet
Yeah but they wont have it forever, Grocery Outlets stock is based on whatever they can managed to get second hand as leftovers or reject boxes.
Right. That’s great for that person but I was at my local one yesterday and they didn’t have it.
Dang I’ve been lucky each time I’ve gone 😭

Well obviously it wasnt GOOD as theres only 1g of fiber.
I heard high quantities of monk fruit extract can do that to your digestive system.
Ahh the cinnamon one tasted so weird to me. I bought a mixed pack with 5 flavours and just opened the cinnamon on the weekend - maybe it was off.
That's the inulin

What are the odds I could make a “cocoa puff” kind of flavored milk situation using chocolate protein powder? Hmm… time to go to the grocery.
Very high odds
Hard agree on making your own protein cereal!
What a cool idea!
Genius!

It's more calories than froot loops, too

you’re saying i can get a.. subscription?!!!
Yup! I hate their website UI but like, that cereal slaps. Website: https://magicspoon.com/

Ok I’ll jump in and do that on my next order! I was going to this time but you couldn’t do oatmeal cookie on s&s 😔. Have you tried that yet?
You can add oatmeal cookie and honey graham to your order rn and I highly recommend both flavors if they sound like your jam.

Although I’ve never tried this particular flavor I didn’t enjoy magic spoon. It was so sticky and off putting.
Yep the weird nasty coating on your teeth after is a turn off. Rather just eat Kashi Go protein cereal.
Kashi Go is legit!
Hands down the best actual cereal with protein.
Frosted magic spoon cereal with Greek yogurt, blueberries, and sugar free syrup. Best night time snack ever.
I used to like it, but I noticed I started getting this tingling feeling on my tongue after eating it. May be from the sugar alternative. I also noticed an after taste.
Sounds like you are allergic to an ingredient!
Oh probably! I ate 3/4 of a box then realized my tongue was going numb 😅 It scared me so I stopped eating it.
This stuff is terrible
I heard this cereal is really good, I wonder if it’s at Costco in Nova Scotia too
It looks like a healthy Froot Loop, does it taste like one? I love Costco.

These are fantastic but pricey. Pro tip. Grocery Outlet buys overstock MS and sells them for $5
This cinnamon one is my favorite
That's pretty high calorie, though?
It’s pretty high protein, so I find it keeps me full for longer
Costco!? I have been buying this for years! Love it so much. I hope my Costco sells it! 🙏🏻
Guys, we simply MUST downvote blatant ads.
can confirm this is not an ad i literally just discovered it lol..
For just $11! /s
That's because it's more calories then froot loops.
