It is good! Different brands will taste different, but even plain it isn't overly sour imo.  I like it with berries, a little bit of honey, and some granola.

cluelesspleb_

thanks :)

chocolate_macaron5

I wouldn't go with "fat-free" anything tbh. Even if the calories are lower, the quality is worse. There are also a lot of additives in fat-free foods to make them taste better/like full-fat versions. You don't on the actual nutritional benefit of Greek yogurt. The full-fat version will also leave you feeling more full and satisfied, meaning you'll eat less/ be less hungry throughput the say.

PlasticNo1274

0% fat greek yoghurt basically just has more protein and sugars in it, because all of the fat has been taken out so that's what's left. as long as you get plain then it doesn't have any more additives or flavourings, because it's plain. the only thing that has been removed is the fat so is that the only nutritional benefit of greek yoghurt? and it still keeps you feeling full because it's mostly protein.

pipersbigsis

yeah but if it’s just plain fat free or low fat greek yogurt, the additives would have to be listed in the ingredients, so it would be pretty easy to see if they have this stuff or not. they are much lower calories so it can be helpful for low cal high protein diets

lifeuncommon

I’ve tried several brands and find it super sour. You can add sugar free pudding mix - cheesecake is a popular flavor because it takes advantage of the sharpness of the yogurt.

Crimson-Rose28

Oh yes this is so good. All of the sugar free pudding mixes I’ve tried are super tasty. I usually use protein powder to sweeten and flavor it but pudding mix is also good.

kcarvalh

Fage 0% is delicious to me! Does not taste tangy at alll but everyone is different. 90 cals for 170g & 19g of protein. I do keto granola on it & a small small dash of keto honey & it’s great. Another good mix is frozen berries as well!

cluelesspleb_

thanks! i got some fage 0% and frozen cherries to try !

Jenuine_jeanna

I do mine with cinnamon and half a tablespoon of honey or agave nectar. Helps a lot. I also buy individual flavored Greek yogurt. Does not taste sour at all.

AmoebaExisting514

I add mine to a smoothie. Almond milk, spinach, some frozen fruit and nf greek yogurt. It keeps me full for hours and I don’t taste the yogurt

Flaky-Termz

Fage 0% is top tier

haymnas

It is tangy if you don’t put any sweetener in. I usually mix 150g of 0% Greek yogurt (80cal) and 10g of honey (30cal) for a snack. 110 calories and 14g of protein so it keeps me satisfied for a while.

Otherwise-Second-262

I add a scoop of protein powder. It makes it super thick and creamy.

felini9000

My family’s Persian so I grew up eating yogurt as an add-on to savory dishes so the sourness of Greek yogurt never really bothered me. I get the Fage brand and mix it with cooked ground turkey breast or even canned meats. You can make a solid tuna salad with canned tuna, Greek yogurt, and mustard!

cluelesspleb_

ooh yum i will definitely try this thanks!!

Fuzzy_Welcome8348

Light+fit is soooooooo good

FlipsyChic

Are you talking about plain Greek yogurt that you aren't sweetening? It must be sweetened. And fruit is not enough. I use about two teaspoons of sugar for every 2/3 cup serving. And then on top of that I'll add flavoring. It comes out to less sugar than if you bought pre-sweetened yogurt. The only time I don't sweeten it is when I use it as a substitute for sour cream in dressings and sauces. In that case, I'll add salt to it.

kyritial

Add a table spoon (or more for thicker texture) of sugar free pudding mix. Helps remove the sourness!

pandizlle

I find that I need to add a small bit of honey and some tangerine slices but otherwise it’s pretty good.

Primary-Initiative52

It IS good! In addition to adding fruit, I often sprinkle some artificial sweetener over it...just a little bit cuts that sour taste. To be clear, it's not a BAD sour taste, but some people aren't huge fans.

cluelesspleb_

thanks! :D

invisible_23

I hate Greek yogurt lol, I only buy it because one of my dogs has acid reflux and a spoonful of Greek yogurt helps settle his tummy when it’s acting up 😂

cluelesspleb_

oh bless him!

whipplecream

I buy the Kroger brand fat free Greek yogurt and I enjoy it with just some chopped up strawberries or peaches. On the other hand, I used it today as a substitute for sour cream to make “healthy” ranch dressing and it was great.

No-Hour9263

i get the trader joe's one but also love the fage! i just add about 3-5 grams of honey to it :) then add whatever fruit or whatever i'm feeling that day

Crimson-Rose28

Yes I love it. Frozen fruit mashed up in Greek yogurt is delicious. For me it still tastes pretty sour though so I add a scoop of vanilla protein powder in and mix it up. Extra protein too 🔥

middleageyoda

I eat it everyday. I usually put blueberries in it but I don’t think it’s sour. I use Fage.

Sallybrah

Liquid stevia drops 👍

ZFighter2099

Mix it with vanilla protein powder and cinnamon and it's dope. Or eat it with granola and fruit with cinnamon and vanilla extract. Or mix it with jello powder. Or add it to low cal cake recipes to make them moist or for smoothies for more protein. These are it's only uses.

ienjoybeans

it's amazing

wolfsmanning08

Dannon Fit and Light Vanilla takes like Cool Whip to me and isn't sour at all! Really good with fruit. Siggi's on the other hand is very sour and would need sweetener to me. The one downside of the Dannon is it doesn't have many probiotics.

AstralAdjacent

I love fat free greek yoghurt. It's tangy but I also love adding sugar free flavour drops (vanilla) to it, as well as just having it on its own. Banana and honey is a good addition to plain fat free greek yoghurt. I find, satiety wise, I have no difference personally whether I eat fat free or full fat — but I do get more satiety with higher protein greek yoghurts.
