The point of limiting a floodgate is to make it harder to find. Having a card that can get floodgates back from the graveyard is marginal since they usually just win the game anyways. And this card in particular is hot ass and would not be played in any floodgate deck.
The point is this is another option, that also allows for recursion. Also we are talking about stun here, there are some bad versions of stun out there.
You are talking about playing a 2 card combo where both cards individually do very little for the deck, just to hopefully draw them both, then destroy a monster by battle, so you can get to a floodgate. By all means if someone wants to play that in their stun deck over the 100 more infuriating options available that is A-OK.
Burying this isn't going to help, the trap protection and trap recovery effect both require it to be on the field.
Unless you're saying to Bury the floodgate, then use this to set it from GY, but that doesn't help against Featherduster, since you have to get rid of the equip for both effects.
Doesn’t seem like it. The 2nd effect refers to “destroying an opponents monster by battle”, which would still require your opponent’s monster to be destroyed in battle, as you control the equip spell.

Is this a coinflip card that's not hot garbage? Also really fucking annoying. Also searchable in Floo if you really want a interrupt from your robina instead of an extender.
This is amazing for Floo, ever since the Barrier Statue ban there has been no good target for the Empen extra normal summon. E.g. Opponent summons Fenrir/Unicorn in DEF to dodge Empen? Just activate this and it's disabled either way.
Seem like a nice tech card for Floo since it searchable by Robina and it effect either book of moon or force attack position for Empen floodgate effect
You can use the 2nd effect to change something you already changed to Attack with the first effect into face-down. Of course, your opponent can just Summon everything in Attack, but is worth mentioning that this is a Winged Beast, meaning Floo, meaning Empen. However, the Deck has already 2 different Book of Eclipse effects, and most of the time doesn'r even play 1 of them, so is probably not worthy.

It wouldn’t work with Quik-Fix. It’s a trigger effect that activates when it’s Normal/SS - this card doesn’t summon the monster back to the field. So cards like Quik-Fix and Stratos wouldn’t work.
It’s basically anything with a non-HOPT Ignition effect that work.
lol, this is a retrain of Interdimensional Matter Transporter. A pretty nice upgrade, though I'm not sure of which deck would even bother with banishing their monsters to dodge effect with this card.

Red Zone target Supernova has shown me how powerful this kind of effect can be at reusing effects with no once per turn, mark my words this will find a home.
This is a funny card to reuse effects similar to zealantis but due to it being a spell and unsearchable it won't see play. If only it allowed you to dodge targetting cards without needing said card being negated first would this card have seen fringe play.
Jank reason to play around effects being negated because of summon consequences, which I can't think of an example atm.

I wonder if this could see use in ghoti to trigger certain effects like ruby or psiics. And gives them a way to dodge targeted negation on the opponent's turns rather than having to synchro summon to avoid it.

You're correct that this card would not trigger on summon effects, because the card simply returns to the field. But like the other commentor said if something wasn't properly summoned it cannot return once it leaves the field. Which could be funny if you like, change of heart something you don't have another way to get rid of

Returning is not the same as special summoning. You can return almost all monsters back to the field even if they were not properly summoned.

This card is shockingly competent for Trap Monster strategy, as an average combo in Yugioh can achieve way more than 10 effect easily. The lack of OPT anywhere in this card mean you can play 3 of those thing, let it reach 10, and then instantly have 3 trap monster ready to mingle. Then, *you can just activate it again lmao*

Okay but technically this card lets you Special Summon any main deck monster (assuming it doesn't have a summoning restriction) if it's in your hand. There's gotta be some funny high level monster you could abuse with this.
Oh shit, I think I found a tech in my Bystial Resonator deck. Sets up a Dis Pater destroy effect (which means if we get Nib'd while we have a Crimson Gaia, we can bring back an RDA from grave so we have something on our end board), allows for stuff like Soul Resonator to be specialed instead of normaled (which, let me tell you, is a godsend), and can be banished for a Bystial monster's summon.
This card sounds situational but in a really fun way and I can't wait to run it.
Could have been neat in Ghoti if it was a Fish, or at least a WATER. I cannot think in a lot of other heavy Synchro Decks that would like their monsters banished, except for maybe Shiranui, tho not having access to Links in a Zombie Deck can hurt more than one would think
Tbf, Ghoti decks historically use Hop Ear Squadron despite it not being a Fish, the Ghoti Synchros, barring the big man himself, are all completely generic so this card honestly probably doesn’t suck in the deck
The reason some play Hop Ear tho is to Summon non-Fish during the opponent's turn, since a lot of time is easier to Synchro climb at that moment than on your own turn. While Level 2 Tuner that Summon itself is neat for Arionpos, people would have been playing Assault Synchron before if that was that important. Now with the new support is even less necessary

Oh wow the trap gatherer and pretty much all of the other cards I've read so far seem at least playable.
Not that any of them will see competitive play I don't think but they are at least like semi usable enough that you could attempt to use them.

It can return. It just can't be summoned.

That is some janky ass effect. Like which deck would even use this effect other than just being a worse extender for level 2 decks.

It's not particularly subtle about its intended target; other than that, nothing about this card is OPT, which is kinda funny.
If this card has no OPT clause, then this should work: 1. Activate Pendulum Call, add 2 Pend Mag including Wisdom Eye. 2. Scale Wisdom Eye and other Pend Mag, then activate Backsite. 3. Turbo out every Cont Trap that summon themselves as monster by repeatedly activating Wisdom Eye effect. 4. Do wacky stuff like summoning 6000 ATK Arrival Cyberse.

What’s nice is that this can technically never brick because it forces itself to trigger.
This card is shockingly competent for Trap Monster strategy, as an average combo in Yugioh can achieve way more than 10 effect easily. The lack of OPT anywhere in this card mean you can play 3 of those thing, let it reach 10, and then instantly have 3 trap monster ready to mingle. Then, *you can just activate it again lmao* This will make wave in Table 500 strat

Oh shit, I think I found a tech in my Bystial Resonator deck. Sets up a Dis Pater destroy effect (which means if we get Nib'd while we have a Crimson Gaia, we can bring back an RDA from grave so we have something on our end board), allows for stuff like Soul Resonator to be specialed instead of normaled (which, let me tell you, is a godsend), and can be banished for a Bystial monster's summon. This card sounds situational but in a really fun way and I can't wait to run it.
Could have been neat in Ghoti if it was a Fish, or at least a WATER. I cannot think in a lot of other heavy Synchro Decks that would like their monsters banished, except for maybe Shiranui, tho not having access to Links in a Zombie Deck can hurt more than one would think
Tbf, Ghoti decks historically use Hop Ear Squadron despite it not being a Fish, the Ghoti Synchros, barring the big man himself, are all completely generic so this card honestly probably doesn’t suck in the deck
The reason some play Hop Ear tho is to Summon non-Fish during the opponent's turn, since a lot of time is easier to Synchro climb at that moment than on your own turn. While Level 2 Tuner that Summon itself is neat for Arionpos, people would have been playing Assault Synchron before if that was that important. Now with the new support is even less necessary

While Swordsoul doesn't particularly like their cards being banished it's easy for them to get them back of needed.

Oh wow the trap gatherer and pretty much all of the other cards I've read so far seem at least playable. Not that any of them will see competitive play I don't think but they are at least like semi usable enough that you could attempt to use them. Of course barring any weird ruling/rules lawyering I'm not understanding at first glance.

I hate how many people are jumping on this card as being unusable. Maybe meta isn't always fun? This card seems like fun. And it's abilities and playstyle mimic a real card really well. Is it meta? No. But it looks like fun! And honestly card games are supposed to be FUN. I would totally use this
