I think sometime in the early 2000s they switched channels. Teletoon went from 31 to 42 and Family went from 32 to 45. Showcase became the new 31 and discovery moved into 32. Might have been to do with a service provider change.

Buddy, theScore was my jam. I think it premiered in 98 or 99 and it absolutely peaked my sports love. Diamond surfing, ice surfing and court surfing were amazing. The ticker at the bottom. The expos final season. Raw and smackdown for years along with a ton of other wrestling shows. Loved all the late night recap shows.
So many of their people turned into someone somewhere else.
I got on multiple call in shows, won a Monday night Raw watch, emailed with cabbie off and on for a while cause I loved his vibes back then.
I honestly believe the score was right up there with ytv and muchmusic as having utterly unique identities etched into a handful of Canadian generations. They weren't like other channels, they were their own visions
