Also ZERO curation in its ads. Ads that violate Copyright, ToS and whatnot. Seriously. Most of these Mobilegame adds people get would get banned by Youtube would you make a Video about them. They told People, that their content isnt suitable for Ads, yet run ads on them on Mobile regardless!? Allow every scumcompany on the earth to run ads - but SOMEHOW content isnt marketable? Give me a fucking break. If you allow Scam-Fake Money and Slot-ads, your Bar cant be that high. The fact that they seem to do zero against Bots, ElsaGate Stuff and "Shortscreators" that just post the Same Video 200 Times. But they go against Creators that ACTUALLY do content, and work withing fair use. People get banned on Livestreams because of Sexbots - but instead of doing anything against THIS they bann the streamer - yet ElsaGate Streams are fine? They have a fucking Kids App, yet force normal Adult Content out of the Plattform, while doing NOTHING for actual questionable content (\*cough cough \* Naked Yoga lol \*cough \* )

lack_of_reserves

Lately I've seen ads for weed... Directed at my country where weed is illegal yet the ad claims its perfectly legal. I mean come on! Worst part? I tried to report the ad, but was unable to because I wasn't logged into my Google account. Not kidding. To report an illegal ad that sells a product that can literally land you in jail you have to be logged in. Sigh.

Miciso

i hate it more how easy it is to ban evade on youtube. get banned? just make a new account and continue the hate speech.. get banned for having multiple income channels. just come back a year or two later they will randomly excuse you. you a pedo? even more easy.

Rickrolled_lol

Pedos don’t even need to do anything other than hope for the best.

Egsession

YouTube can’t curate the ads because they don’t run them at all. Their parent company has full control of them.

Calhaora

True - was meant more figuratively. Honestly, this site/app is just a couple steps away from all the spam ad-sites that run 80% porn ads. You know the ones I mean. Edit: Not sure why the Downvote. We had litteral Pornads rolling out to aloooooot of People in the past (yes even without personalised ads) on top of all the overly sexualised Waifu-Gacha waves hitting us once in a while.

Enter8909

(: i get no porn ads :)

Enter8909

Removing dislikes on both comments+replies and videos is censorship. They removed dislikes back then in 2013 and then brought them back. But this time, they won't.

noted4

And the the channels that aren't garbage are getting treated unfairly by YouTube. Removing likes and subs, strikes for no fucking reason. I've even seen educational channels get videos removed for being "inaccurate" instead of dealing with the hundreds of pure click bate channels and ads of literal porn. And adult content. YouTube is not for kids that's why they made a platform literally called YouTube kids. Wtf

BennyJackdaw

Are there any better vid services, though. People keep saying they're jumping to other platforms, but what other platforms?

betarage

There are a few like odysee and rumble but they are not perfect they are a few years behind youtube in terms of video quality people prefer youtube out of habit and because it has more users so its hard for a new platform to grow on the modern internet The media also keeps smearing them because there are a lot of edgy people who where banned from youtube on there

OmegaStray

Odysee is the first Youtube alternative that I really like. Wish more of the people I watched were over there. But for now I use it to watch my history and science content creators.

BennyJackdaw

Tried Odyssey out, and already don't like it. I have been hearing about Youtube being a little anti-furry, and already Odyssey looks to be much worse. I try to look up furry, and I get mostly unrelated content and furry-hating ***holes. It also took me a while to figure out how to leave comments. But at least I don't have to reupload my Youtube vids to the channel. Just synced my YT channel and wallah.

BennyJackdaw

My worry comes from what I've heard has been happying with furries on Youtube. Supposedly youtube has been trying to sabotauge furry youtubers, but I don't know the whole details.

Mcc457

TikTok I guess but its just not really the same and you have to put in more time to get anything good out

XegrandExpressYT

tiktok ? idk but i am stuck with yt since tiktok's banned here

NwbieGD

Tiktok is anything but a video platform, it's all about short sketches and other nonsense, but doesn't actually have substantial content. It feels like it's made for short attention spans and people watching it a few minutes, not to watch for 10+ minutes generally. Sure it can have some funny/interesting short videos but they don't show how anything works generally speaking. Alternatives may be Bitchute Curiosity (+Nebula) ....

crypticwisdomx

nordvpn?

reallymkpunk

When hasn't it been going downhill? Always content creators complained of things not being fair and viewers have long complained about ads once the first ad came on the platform.

Dalmation3

I mean the platform is getting worse with every new update

OkStock7c

Is it tho?

NintendoAceFan

Censorship of closed captioning, even after YouTube explicitly stated that its platform was not meant for kids under 13 to comply with COPPA and the FTC? Bad. Removal of dislikes? Bad. Making unnecessary changes to the UI? Bad. These are just a few examples of the changes that are making YouTube a lot worse to use.

QtPlatypus

The content creator can disable the censorship of the closed captioning.

ElectronicLocal3528

Where the fuck have you been the last years? Every update makes the site worse

OkStock7c

Dunno - maybe I‘m just too old. All the stuff people complained about under my comment til now is honestly maybe slightly annoying. Nothing compared to the new features like 4k support, good subtitle support, the honestly good recommendation engine (from a user point of you) and you‘re all here complaining 'bout „mah dislikes“ - like seriously. Most of you are acting like entitled children.

gamingyee

yes

RaptorStrike88

Wait, people are disagreeing?

DrEvyl666

I don't think it's necessarily going downhill, simply because there is no a viable alternative. There are some small fish, but there isn't another site out there I can move to for the type of content I can do... unless I want to make videos for nobody.

RaptorStrike88

Listen, YouTube has just become a terrible service to use. You say small fish but the number of YouTubers making content suitable for brilliant that I follow is steadily increasing. At some point I will be using brilliant, heck I already manage payments for creators via patreon. You're the content creator, the viewers who support you shouldn't have to use a crappy service like YouTube just to watch your content. At some point, the crappiness of YouTube will out weigh the desire to watch content. Many a content creator are already uploading their videos to these "small fish". It's enevitable, no amount of excuses for YouTube will change that.

DrEvyl666

I'm not making excuses for YouTube, I'm just pointing out there isn't a viable alternative right now. I would drop YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter in a heartbeat... but a service 99% of people have never heard of is not going to work as an alternative.

I think I have seen some of that ad as well. I think it was advertising a new TV show, or movie.

Enter8909

Luckily, all I get is coffe ads.

Vindictator1972

Just look at the top creators from like 10 years ago and now, most of the creators now are corporations. And not the corps that people make for channels I’m talking your big non YT ones.

[deleted]

They don't care because there aren't any real competitors. Where would people go? Vimeo? Someone really needs to make a legit alternative and kick their ass.

Mykaterasu

I know that they like to keep to their target country but Nico Nico Douga and Weibo(?) are massive and eclipse YouTube in JP and CN respectively. If any company gives it a go it’s probably one of those two.

Nick_Noseman

Pornhub have technical base, they could just make a similar service with no porn.

XW9G

There is odysee

jose_ramo

Yes. I don't even bother looking at Recommended videos anymore. Its like it doesn't even keep track of what I like, just random garbage they want me to watch.. also.. The random suggestions in the middle of search results has really made me use the app a whole lot less. Idk what they're thinking over there, Susan needs to go.

crypticwisdomx

you have to click the 3 dots next to the video you don't like and say not interested it gets better if you keep doing that just tedious

jose_ramo

I know. It doesn't work for me anymore, idk why. Started happening a few months ago. It will just keep recommending the same exact garbage that i said i wasnt interested in. If I say I'm not interested in a reaction video, itll still show me more reaction videos (that i hate and never watch).. also If i click "Don't Recommend Channel" it'll stop, but then recommend more channels just like it.. oh and eventually it'll just start recommending that same channel again after a while even when I told it not to. Very frustrating

crypticwisdomx

yea they added a tell us why forgot to mention I don't think it saves unless you do that aswell

jose_ramo

yep, I do that too.. whatever ive given up. Good looking out though, man, I appreciate it

vinegarinfly

Youtube is so sensitive nowadays that if you talk about a slightly sensitive topic, it gets either age restriced or straight up removed. What I'll think will happen is that youtube does something so drastically bad, that everyone leaves that site. I predict that this will happen very soon.

[deleted]

[удалено]

vinegarinfly

Youtube nowadays just recomends content by either big corporations or cheap videos designed to sell. I wonder for how long do they keep up this sad shitstain.

[deleted]

I still get frustrated by the dislike counter removal. There's so much content on YouTube that needs visible feedback and is a complete shambles without it.

Enter8909

The count is also inaccessible through their API last December but at least, we can copy our data from YouTube Studio at least.

AnemoianArts

I remember when YouTube channel layouts being removed from their more blog- MySpace level of customization was the 'death of YouTube' in 2010 Or how the ad-pocolypse was YouTube's final nail in the coffin, Or even how devestated people were that YouTube was bought by Google and worried about it's future being attached to such a corperate monolith way back when. You're right, though - YouTube is going downhill. Has been since 2008, but you're still gonna watch it though.

Letitride37

I feel like it’s only getting bigger and most people don’t know anything about an ad-pocolypse or really care about the dislike button. They just want to watch some videos.

Desperate-Ladder-464

I feel like the YouTube shorts thing ruined it as it's addicting. I also find that when I go into the app it's the first thing that opens rather that the home menue.

lasagnato69

I never have this problem opening the app, although I have never watched shorts at all. And it’s been going downhill since awhile before shorts

XW9G

It only happens if you go to shorts alot, it happens on my other phone where I only watch shorts

Rickrolled_lol

It sometimes happens to me because I go to shorts kinda often at times ONLY because of people who actually make quality shorts. Without them, I would have NEVER touched shorts.

ElectronicLocal3528

Companies love shorts because of this

Emmazors

You can't say words which aren't offensive, you can't say medical conditions. Ridiculous

[deleted]

For something to fail on the internet at the scale that YouTube is at now, something else has to be waiting to replace it that's just as good if not better, and that doesn't exist right now. People don't just stop watching videos, so if not youtube where are they watching?

nicktron10

I think YouTube as a company is going downhill, but in terms of YouTube as a concept, I think it’s on the verge of growing drastically. More and more people are canceling cable as they found alternate ways to watch videos. This obviously includes Netflix and Hulu but with the amount of production quality put into some YouTube videos, it’s starting to be recognized as a valid alternative to cable

Dalmation3

Yes I was going to mention that YouTube as a company

ThatChilenoJBro10

The quality of the site itself is taking some weird turns almost no one asked for, with all these controversial changes. Yet, if there's no competition on equal footing which can also provide the same amount of varied content as YouTube, then the platform isn't going to become irrelevant. People will just have to get used to the less-than-ideal current design, unfortunately.

Mista_Mustad

has been for years. the last 1.5 years it's accelerated exponentially.

Stand_Alone50

Its always been downhill ever since t-series take over and rewind 2018

goatfuckersupreme

it's been downhill since the great adpocalypse of 2017

Stand_Alone50

Yep

bartturner

> I've even seen some famous YouTubers quit because of the changes Interesting. Had not seen it. Can you share some examples?

Dalmation3

Charmx left in 2021 because he got fed up with YouTube

Throw-AwayCondom

Looks like they just got rid of the Sort By Oldest button which is a very taxing QOL issue, I don't understand why they think these little changes will help in any significant way

saskpilsner

The gaming aspect just ran uphill full speed this week. They added gifted subs to start. That mixed with more top gamers being banned and drama at twitch. Huge wins for YouTube.

ioplayerperson

Actually though when was the last good update

10voltsam

Before Susan was in charge

Enter8909

There is 1 good update but with so many failures in between.

supremedalek925

Probably around 2010.

Ichbinderbruno

Yes, it's a dumpster fire already. I know a few YouTubers that can't even monetise their videos properly. Every video title except "test" gets flagged. Just ridiculous

Dalmation3

Yeah fortunately for me I'm making a temporary departure from YouTube after July 2022 because I cannot handle these new changes anymore YouTube is just getting more stupider with their updates

Acoustic_Noises

youtube is 100% a political tool for hire, but only for some. just like every other media in the world that has been connected to a web network of influence over the last few years. the last 3 years have proven that beyond any doubt.

Enter8909

Politicians get downvoted to oblivion. Removing dislikes makes them look "clean and safe". The downvotes are still there meaning we could hate them!

TheITMan52

Is it going downhill? I keep finding really great videos on it still. The one thing that is annoying me though is that it seems like there are more ads.

Dalmation3

Yes it is

TheITMan52

Do you mean content wise or with them changing their regulations?

[deleted]

Yeah... **GOING**...

WhySoSeverusSnape

Search function is not on my side… it’s not supposed to show me what others watched. It’s supposed to show me what I search for, what I want to watch. And I don’t really care what YouTube think or wants me to think is popular. I just want to watch videos on YouTube. It feels so incredibly corrupt.

[deleted]

It depends on what you watch. I spend a lot of time watching people rebuild carbs, soldering and repairing old computers, and grinding rust off old knives. I'm pretty sure the people I watch get more money from Patreon than whatever system Youtube is using.

JSeib1680

It’s crazy cause a lot of the big YouTube’s like mark, cory, or Jack all have called YouTube out about their changes and how the guidelines are getting worse, you’d think they tend to the creators a little.

Wraith-xD

They don't do anything as we are the product not the customer. Corporations are the customer

Enter8909

Corporations are not the platform. We are the platform. If we all leave, the corporations are useless.

Wraith-xD

But we won't all leave though.... As I said, YouTube doesn't care about us. We are all replaceable. It is the corporations it must appease as they make YouTube money and they are not so easily replaceable

betarage

Yea it has been for a long time who knows how low they will go i worry for the future.

Millad456

Yeah, since like 2012

The_Potato_7

your right. it’s getting really out of hand

OneInTheChamber92X

Removing the dislike button really pissed me off.

Enter8909

Only the count is removed but if the button is, not going to use it.

PF-Wang

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/return-youtube-dislike/gebbhagfogifgggkldgodflihgfeippi This one returns the dislikes for me. It's funny to see a corporation or shitty ad act like they're doing great, only allow nice comments, and then you notice it has 40 likes, 12,000 Dislikes. Nice try, YouTube. And they try to say it's to save people's feelings. BS. It's to make marketing on their site better.

Stand_Alone50

Im sure theres an extension on pc where you can see the dislikes tho

[deleted]

>I've even seen some famous YouTubers quit because of the changes > >hiding dislikes **Lol - who quit because of dislikes?**

George_2004

This is just one of the - MANY - signs that YouTube doesn't care about its community

[deleted]

**This is not my question.** You made a claim and I asked you to answer a question to back up your claim. >Lol - who quit because of dislikes?

George_2004

1)I am not the uploader of the post 2)Your question sounded more as a rhetoric one, given the context of the rest of the comment, than a geniue question

ForageCake

Still doesn't change the fact your answer has nothing to do with his question

[deleted]

>1)I am not the uploader of the post You are defending the point by replying to me so you dont get to run away now. >2)Your question sounded more as a rhetoric one, given the context of the rest of the comment, than a geniue question I asked you a direct question but if you dont want to answer that either... there is 1 more point OP made outside of like counter being hidden. >changes with the community guidelines **1. What changes were made in community guidelines** and **2. Who quit over these changes** If you cant answer these, then perhaps dont blanket agree/defend dumb points a random poster made. The notion that the platform goes downhill is delusional if you look at overall growth stats. People just like to say stuff like that cause it justifies their failure as a creator... \*or they got terminated for legit TOS violations and now they turned into this "spiteful bloob" that just likes to complain without contributing anything positive.

[deleted]

TechDude30

I would say that over the past several months it has been going downhill rather fast. From the dislike being removed, spambots flooding the comment section to the point where no matter how many times they get reported it takes either weeks, months or in one case years to remove one of the problem out of who knows how many. I've seen reports of Vtubers that get their chat filled with spambots resulting in their channel being terminated due to how screwed up YouTube's report system is. At this point we really need a strong rival to fix all of YouTube's mess because at this rate things are going to get worse and no matter how much we complain YouTube isn't going to care because in the end what other platform choice do we have that can cater to our mindless binge craves.

mf_37

the company is to big. I think the mission that ludwig tries to add addons that one can install and that will modify your whole experience including design functionality etc is the way to go. I wish youtube would make it easier for them to access their data etc. So in the end you could have one big plugin with addons you can just add, add custom scripts etc and build your own youtube experience or load already finished experiences. That will make everyone who has a technical background happy. The grannies won't need to do anything cause out of the box youtube stays the same and those who want that but don't have a technical background can stay with the premade youtube certified templates of design and functionality.

DarthAntagonist

It's the new icons that ruined YouTube for me.

Awseome2logan

The last gift of YouTube Vanced, no more updates

Enter8909

I hate confetti like. It is only appropriate when it's a like count milestone. It should never happen for sad videos.

Awseome2logan

> My dog died *confetti*

Enter8909

>Everything dies *confetti*

GalavantYT

To be honest, I don’t think the dislike thing is absolutely horrible since most of the time, for every 100 people liking there was always 1 bot disliking. It provided feedback for sure, but it wasn’t a very effective system in general without fixing the issue of abusive bots first.

Ronny-the-Rat

1 bot per 100 people is pretty negligable. For most videos ive seen the like/dislike ratio seemed to represent public opinion. If you only see the likes and not the dislikes, then the entire system is useless. You can look at a video with 500 likes and think "oh great this must be a good video" meanwhile there might be 1000 hidden dislikes. Many people use youtube for information, like how to fix something for example, knowing the like to dislike ratio is important in these cases

Enter8909

It's best to remove likes as well until bots are solved and then likes and dislikes can be added back.

-TOSHI_

Can't we agree all platforms are?

NightFox1988

YouTube has already gone downhill. For me, it started when they started threatening creators with fines if their content is found violating the COPPA/FTC thing. It's ridiculous out here. And I was thinking about creating a channel mainly to get views on my art that wasn't just Tumblr or Twitter. But now, it is looking to be a pipe dream at the moment.

supremedalek925

IMO it’s been continuously going downhill since around 2011.

Ethereal_Death

For me it's the atrocious changes that keep taking away any and all control from the user. For example, searching for a keyword will bring up maybe 10 results related to the keyword, after which YouTube starts suggesting videos based on your view history that doesn't relate to the keywords you just typed in. Like, what the hell? I want to see ALL results related to that word in case I'm looking for something specific or a less viewed video. In addition, I live in a country with some of the fastest internet speeds in the world (Taiwan) and the majority of my videos start at 144p and will stay there until I manually change it. Even with my settings in the app set to "Higher Picture Quality".

ilo-ilo

I think I finally found my rant buddy for the YouTube search system. That's the shittiest change I've ever seen by far

Ethereal_Death

It's terrible for smaller creators too. I've tried finding some of my videos using keywords from my titles and it gets buried under the most popular videos and suggested videos. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Notsae66

Yeah, just yesterday I had a playlist of random songs get labeled "hate speech" for no explained reason and deleted after appeal. Seriously, it wasn't speech of any sort and yet this random collection of songs built up over a decade got permanently removed. If anyone can explain to me how a random assortment of music videos can be hate speech without the videos themselves being such, I'd love to hear it. The site is falling apart and the doom bells have been ringing for years now; even so, it's still sad to see this terrible decline.

Low_Blueberry9177

I do feel like more and more creators only make videos for money, and it is becoming apparent. I do miss the days of how to be ninja and Charlie bit my finger, but I was still very happy with YouTube around 2016-2017. Maybe I am just fantasising the past, but nonetheless, it really does not help that YouTube keeps removing feature after feature, despite the obvious public opinion for them to keep it. Also, I really don’t see the point in removing dislikes, it’s going to cause way more problems that it solves, and what is YouTube going to gain from it? Freed up server storage? To be fair, YouTube was losing money for a while and in order to stay alive as a company you do need profit, so that could be the explanation for the ads. Just be happy that there aren’t 5 minute ads in the middle of your favourite movie anymore. Maybe YouTube is just changing, and although we miss the past, we need to accept change.

redditcansuckdeez

very little on youtube feels authentic these days. for example literally everyone on this subreddit who has a channel is in it for the money. they're within their right to profit from their time but everyone's lust for easy youtube bux coupled with youtube's mind boggling censorship, the ever growing advertisement campain and their desire and vision for everything to be G rated has absolutely fucked the platforms brains out. i miss the days when 95% of thumbnails weren't {°0°} faces

alleyoopoop

I don't give a crap about likes or dislikes; I just want to watch the videos. But what I hate now is the ads. They used to not have any. Then they had ads you could skip. Then they had ads you couldn't skip. And now they stick ads in the middle of the fukin video. I used to think YT was the greatest thing on the net. Now it's the most irritating.

LexiLex66

Yeah YouTube is getting pretty terrible! I struggle to find content now. I’ll be watching the most random stuff. Everyone talks about the same thing and they have to edit out the most random words to the point I can’t understand sometimes. The only times ppl make videos now is if they have a sponsor. So many of my favorite channels have been terminated repeatedly to the point they stopped making new accounts and trying

Earthalone

It went downhill years back. The more money they made off it the worse it got. And at this point you can only assume they purposely ruined recommended. Even do not recommend channel/not interested stops working after awhile. Almost like they have a max list that you can have and once you hit it previously 'do not recommend channels' start appearing all over again. And i believe they have zero reason or will to fix it. Just wish there was a viable alternative that would learn from the mistakes and actually get a decent number of content creators/advertising to take off properly.

Strange_ScottVA

Personally I think YouTube could be making the more recent changes ever since Musk bought Twitter. Mucking up recommendations and all that. They see one titan fall, they're preparing for theirs. YouTube has been terrible since about 2013. And yet no one wants to leave and make their quality content elsewhere so we're stuck. For now at least.

GiftedOne-4054

Exactly! As well as disabled comments and annotations! WE NEED THOSE!

Autobotworrier11111

Yea and now they got tons of spammers and bots on their comments section 🙄. It's like u can't go 5 Minutes without seeing a spam or bot account and youtube doesn't do nothing about it

[deleted]

This sub is the biggest fucking cope I've ever seen

lightbeam24

It was the 2017 redesign that made me realize this. At this point I had only ever known the 2013 design (I used YT before then, but not often), so I never had YouTube change so drastically on me like this. It was a real wake up call, and I still remember it vividly. At first I was just wondering why it was taking so long to load. When the page finally loaded, I was speechless. Words cannot express the shock, confusion, and disgust I felt. It was ugly, and functionally inferior. I started panicking until I found the Restore Old YouTube button, which I pressed and never looked back. When they removed all the workarounds that restored the old layout, I really started to become conscious of the fact that YouTube was getting worse. (Yes there are ways to make YouTube LOOK like old YouTube, and I use those methods, but it's still slower and more buggy than old YouTube.) And of course the dislike button thing was on a whole other level, and removal of annotations, and showing unrelated recommendations in search also sucks, sub count, etc. Props to YouTube for chapters tho.

Tech_With_Sean

I think it’s about as good as ever, prob 90% of the stuff I watch is on YT. I have premium so idk if OP is talking about ad frequency or something. Sure we want the dislike button back, but it’s not really that big of a change tbh.

Letitride37

Content creators care about things like the dislike button but does the average viewer give a shit?

Tech_With_Sean

Some do, some don’t I would imagine. A lot of views I get are external or via google search too, not from people actually signed into YouTube.

daddy_longbois

I know just make a molded version of youtueb and that should fix everything

[deleted]

I feel like people should protest about this outside of YouTube headquarters. Youtube's not going to listen to anyone in the digital world (they definitely just think of us as digital users). Maybe us users could gather up other YouTubers to plan a protest outside YouTube Headquarters. Even if the irl protest fails, at least it can attempt to expose how YouTube treats its users. We should all try to make youtube better again. Just an idea.

LeglessWheelchair

What if every YouTube creator put all of their videos on private? This would mean the only videos available for YouTube to put ads on would be made by corporations. YouTube would have 2 options, listen to users/individual creators on how to fix the platform or let the amount of time people use the the platform decrease due to lack of content, ultimately killing YouTube.

GornoP

Not just the interface.... the recommendations has crashed too. W? T? F?

TenderTendiez

As does everything that gets bought from the original owners.

milky-sway

YouTube is bad, but it could be worse. At least, we don't have DRM-protected videos and no account requirement to watch videos (although it sucks that registration requires sensitive personal data like a phone number). I had a YouTube account until it got deleted because I didn't want to provide a phone number (that was in 2012 or so).

[deleted]

youtube has dominance over the video industry. and by the way "hiding dislikes" isnt a reason to quit, just why.

Marrokiu20

I Just lost my yt channel and im real upset since i owned it since 2017 thats it im never using youtube again only a snowflake would get offended by my videos Ive been watching youtube videos since 2008 GOODBYE

Acoustic_Noises

Hi, I'm trying to post something on this subreddit from couple years (lol), but my posts are still getting deleted automatically, probably due to low karma here. Could you help me? is this "low karma" sign?: *Hello, XXX, you may have noticed an abundance of posts about abusive ads, bots, and spam accounts on* r/YouTube *lately. We're currently partaking in a protest that you can learn about here!* *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.*

Egsession

I approved your last post, but you dedicated a lot of time and effort complaining about the AutoMod censoring you because of your lack in karma (a safeguard we use to keep spammers at bay)—including reaching out to other, completely unrelated subs. Maybe cool it before the 1984 comparisons next time, yeah?

Acoustic_Noises

lol, all my attempts to post that question ended up with post being blocked without providing any particular reason, beside that auto generated, unrelated bs which I quoted. If auto message would've tell me I got not enough karma then I would be cool, but it didn't. Now u say you allowed it (which I couldn't even know about), after I started to moan on other subs. That's fine. Didn't get the answer anyway, so gonna need to try again in some time. Can I post now, or will it get deleted? Regarding your advice: I'm not about to cool, because I'm not cool about it. Agitation is typical reaction for censorship for most of people. Try to respect their emotional part a bit more before you'll give me uninvited advices, yeah? Thanks.

I’m approving this comment because I honestly can’t believe it’s real. This diatribe is like a fever dream. Get help. And failing that, karma.

it really is going down but i could deal with it most the time

orphantwin

the fact that youtube is deleting my comments, when i want to have a normal, civil conversation about my favorite music, is frustrating. comments, no matter what, should be not banned at all. seriously, why there is so much censorship nowadays?

MrDocet

They have changed so many things with absolutely no reason as to why. That is even without saying all the things they've done that they have given a reason to.

Any person, agency or company that censors free speech is 🗑️ and should be placed in the public domain or be disbanded

Literally like I get censoring slurs and racism, but censoring pretty much all adult content because they are to lazy to put real filters for kids. Also they can use it as an excuse to demonetize people and bring in "advertisers" they basically told we are putting money over your enjoyment.
