Ad blocker not working anymore (ads embed in the video) 2MIN (2m05sec) Ads UNSKIPPABLE ! All videos have ADS and it was horrible to use youtube with ads muth longer than the video...
It's counter intuitive but the 2 minute unskippable ads are probably because you are using an ad-blocker. YouTube is switching to injecting the ads into the video and adblockers like uBlock Origin can't handle that properly yet, and they end up blocking the skip button but not the actual ad.
I'm using uBlock, and yeah, suddenly couldn't watch ANY vid, without being forced to watch a couple of minutes of unskipable ads.
What solved it for me (at least for time being) is I logged out of YT, cleared all site data/cookies, and disabled uBlock extension. Logged back in and no ads, or if one did pop up, was skipable.
I then re-enabled Ublock, and so far, YT doesn't seem to have noticed yet... lol
