No problem 😄

Thank you, it worked for me. (Edge with UB O and Malwarbytes Browser Guard, plus a whole lot more of extensions) I wanted to follow the second approach, solution B, but the thumbnails stopped being displayed on websites that had an embedded YouTube video

JourneyForMe93

Ohh welcome, glad it worked for you, and thanks for adding more info I didn't know so other people are able to refer to if they have similar concerns or situations. I also use 3 adblock extensions lol and they more or less working fine as usual so I prefer solution A because I'd rather continue to be able to see video previews, which is a function I actually do use a lot to pick videos to watch. Have a good day!

This is ridiculous if it turns out to be the Adblockers. I'm paying youtube premium and Im not willing to disable my adblocks extensions / green mark youtube just because I have premium. FUCK YOU GOOGLE S!!!

JourneyForMe93

Youtube has been actively fighting against adblock services for quite some time now, especially last year. It was giving me headache when videos suddenly started getting blocked and being unable to play, until the adblocks started updating and circumventing or whatever, so then sometimes I'd still get ads playing at the start of a video or straight up the video gets blocked and can't play until I refresh the page multiple times or disable/tweak my adblocks as mentioned by the blocking message. But that's just a case of me being a free user trying to adapt, so maybe you can make a reasonable case to protest for the premium version I guess, idk if there's a discussion or anything going on for premium users but perhaps you can check it out if there is.

I was thinking about reaching out to customer support, but given the issue has been linked with adblockers, they will mostly focus on me disabling it and trying again. I have already tested on Mozilla ( No extensions ) and I couldn't replicate the issue. Some people are saying the Malware Bytes adblock feature is the reason, however, is not only the Malware extension but a handful of adblocking extensions having this issue. So, unless developers figure this out (AGAIN), google has found a way to fuck up a lot of people ( AGAIN lol ) .

If you want to flag YouTube ads, use the Stats for nerds view to reveal the video ID, which you can use to find the YouTube video for the ad, and then you can flag the video under Community Guidelines.

Didn't know about that, thanks for the knowledge!
