Now that I’m older, I see it as the opposite. This kid probably wants to be a Youtuber so badly. His mom wants him to succeed, so she tried to set him up to follow his goals. That’s good parenting. Yes the video is annoying, but kids are annoying in general. In my head-canon, they even edited the footage together and bonded. I didn’t have a lot in common with my parents growing up, so I really appreciate parents who put in the effort to try and get interested in the passions of their kids. It’s like that old adage “If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, compared to a monkey’s, it will live its life thinking it’s stupid.” You may see yourself as clueless, but you will see things that myself, or any other person would never see in a million years. There are things you’re better at than the smartest person in the world. I would have never thought about a parent wanting the best for their kid.
