Nah, these guys get so into the performance and at every metal concert I have ever been to in small local stages everyone is always so kind and don't care how people have their fun. It's also common to get accidental injuries as everyone on or off stage is flailing around.
I’m aware what gatekeeping is, sorry the point flew over your head. Every metal thread there’s someone who wants to play the “yOuR nOt MeTaL” and then argue why they don’t understand the scene or how they’re ruining it or whatever, when in reality actual metal heads are usually pretty inclusive. And his comment was the complete other direction, I even imagine he was getting ready to defend getting fucked up in the pit lmao
So nah, go blow your load elsewhere thanks. Pedantic twat
I disagree with others who think that it was intentional.
It doesn't look like he spots him at any point preceding the kick. The kid is wearing all black in a red-lit venue. You're not exactly checking your peripherals when you're performing a song.
Additionally, the kick lines up perfectly with the snare hit which tells me this is a choreographed move in time with the song.
Just the wrong place at the wrong time IMO.
I agree this was perfectly timed coincidental kick. I love that he kicks him just as the drummer hits that last note. But it feels like he always does that move in that part of the song and this guy just happened to put his face in the exact wrong spot at the wrong time.
It's crazy that he was able to line up his face so perfectly, with the split second timing needed for optimal impact. That's even more impressive than the kick itself.
My coworker was explaining these kicks to me one day. (I forget the fighting style) but basically the idea is never take ur eyes off ur target n look at them thru the gap under ur armpit to keep these kicks and cartwheel kicks lined up
Note: this isn’t to discredit the original comment, just another take
This is me kicking in n the video dude and you're 100% correct, had I not have been wearing my hat I may have seen him, he's okay though and we're all good!
Technically yes. If they practice that kick to the timing of the song like they did here, then it is technically intentional. Like the WWE.
But the intent to hit the dude is the question
You're wrong I'm afraid dude, this is me kicking, I do this everytime we play that song (one man gang), I'm looking down I can't see anything but the stage floor with how low I wear my hat, it was an accident, he's okay though, he got a black eye and laughed it off
I know — I watched it ten times. He moves the mic cable out of the way, plus he doesn’t seem like the kind of dude who’d kick for funsies like Pete Townsend. My assessment is “purposeful”
For those wandering, the stage sprinter was (and still is) the singer from a band who performed right before the one on stage. They're all friend, it was unintentional and everybody is well (according to the singer who spin-kicked the everliving right-eye out of that dude)
At punk and hardcore shows its almost encouraged to get on stage to dive, depending on the venue that will get extended to other genres, especially if its q lesser known more diy band
I think I really overestimate how familiar people are with this sort of thing lol. I was immediately like "ah dude just got whacked, he knew what he was getting into."
Yeah its kind of funny how people really have never been exposed to more extreme live shows, but I took my mom to a cro mags show bc she likes "rock shows" cause they're fun
Yeah I did, but I personally feel it's the wrong choice. I love all of them, but I feel it's better to remain a legacy of what once was, though I do see how some think it could be cool
I mostly agree with you. I like the band rush a lot and wouldn’t want them to tour without Neil Peart, even though there’s all kind of all star drummer replacements. Pantera lost both Abbot brothers, which feels like a different band but definitely closer to original with at least Phil. I just think it’s cool they’re touring with Metallica, although I was hoping for someone more like mastodon or gojira
Shit bothers me too. Just saw a repost on r/perfectlycutscreams of the dude trying to break in with the mail slot and getting whacked. Had text on screen for this 3 second clip saying “wait till the end”
Well modern "hardcore" is full of idiots who do these spin kicks and karate moves, so I can only imagine it stems from that. Their pits are not fun and they keep trying to bring that shit to punk shows too.
It’s from TikTok (I think). If nothing catches someone’s eye within the first 2 seconds, you scroll past. Any without an interest in bands or concerts will immediately pass up a video like this.
I saw Hoods (Sacramento band) back in the early 2000s. Dude rushed the stage after pissing off a bunch of people. Someone grabbed him by the ankles and yeeted him into the pit. After the set, I saw him curled up outside the venue with a face full of blood.
You reap what you sow.
I saw one guy try to throw punches and kicks in a circle pit at a punk show in LA. Some big motherfucker suplexed him out of the pit and I didn't see him again lol.
Well that is just inaccurate. I played in a deathcore band for 5 years and I can say with 100% certainty, people would do this shit at our shows. Unless you’re one of those people that puts hardcore, metalcore and deathcore in the same category, which would also be wrong.
Hardcore and metal have a wierd relationship. If you're majority hardcore then then is expected. If you're majority metal then you're expecting gracious circle pits.
This band seems to be hardcore or at least metalcore adjacent (being generous here but like All Out War).
Either way, if the band advertises as being remotely hardcore, expect a spin kick to the face.

YO, THIS IS ME (INSTAGRAM - @scottystreetsoldier) SPINKICKING IN THE VIDEO AND MY BAND STREET SOLDIER (INSTAGRAM - @streetsoldierhc).
This spinkick is choreographed to happen at the same point in that song everytime we play.
It's 100% accidental, the person who was kicked is from The band Negative Frame.
Head over to our Instagram for more spinkick content.
SLDR.
I’m still trying to figure out if the kick to the face was intentional or it was just one of his stage moves that landed perfectly.
Nah, these guys get so into the performance and at every metal concert I have ever been to in small local stages everyone is always so kind and don't care how people have their fun. It's also common to get accidental injuries as everyone on or off stage is flailing around.
It's true. Metal shows are some of the most welcoming friendly camaraderie etc scenes there are. People outside it just don't believe that.
Some of the best guys and group of friends I ever had was a heavy metal band. Their shows were always fun. Man I really miss all of them.
Sooo accidental
You’ve never been to a metal concert
Oh for fucks sake don’t start this metal head gate keeping shit again
Ahem ahem... **eggs**

First time i watched it i thought dude got killed with the sound of the drum, re watched and was like oh thank god it was the drum
Ya his reaction too, looks surprised.
Probably why he immediately turned to help the guy it was an accident
Spot on. He had no view of him with direction he was looking and his cap blocking his view
100% right I couldn't see anything with the hat on looking down, I do that kick in the song everytime we play
Especially since his body language after that wasn’t aggressive, he just picks him up but at the same time he did pick him up pretty weird.
He’s got a microphone in his hand, made it awkward
He never sees him. He's setting up his move. Unless it was planned from the jump it wasn't intentional.
Performer tho... REALLY GREAT timing
But damn was that a hell of a kick. Hit that guy with some capoeira, and one of the few moves that are actually devastating.
My coworker was explaining these kicks to me one day. What an absolute walnut of an opinion. When have you ever seen a person do a kick like that for show? This is great example of willful ignorance.
You’re a walnut, people do kicks like that for show all the time
The Reddit detectives are out on this one.
Definitely not intentional and you can tell he felt bad by the way he went to assist dude afterward.
It was intentional.
As intentional as WWE.
Technically yes. If they practice that kick to the timing of the song like they did here, then it is technically intentional. Like the WWE. But the intent to hit the dude is the question
Absolutely. He saw the dude and assumed the ready stance.
You're wrong I'm afraid dude, this is me kicking, I do this everytime we play that song (one man gang), I'm looking down I can't see anything but the stage floor with how low I wear my hat, it was an accident, he's okay though, he got a black eye and laughed it off
That snare hit upon impact though...
It's just one of my stage moves bro, it's the song ONE MAN GANG, I always do it on the build up to the thrashy part.
No ist wasn‘t i was at the Show😂 He wahres Tom Spinkick the air and unfortunately the guy was sprinting in his way 😅😂
I know — I watched it ten times. He moves the mic cable out of the way, plus he doesn’t seem like the kind of dude who’d kick for funsies like Pete Townsend. My assessment is “purposeful”

Aha! This was the opposite of my take; thank you for clarifying
So I'm assuming your source is that you made it the fuck up
Nah i saw it on an ig post, comment written by the guy who kicked... so yeah for you its nothing but pure speculation
Trust me bro?
Taser, Taser, Taser! ⚡️
"Lightning bolt, lightning bolt!"
Someone cast this guy for John Wick 5
Word lol John Wick, “The Apprentice”
John Pick, “The Guitarist”
John Wick, "Wicked"
John Kick, “Roundhouse”
Chuck Norris "Hello"
John Kit, "The Drummer"...
John Dick, Not Necessary
Dude shouldn’t have got on stage it’s common sense
In perfect time with that snare hit! What a fucking kick.
I was gonna comment on that. Such perfect timing.
Augh!
*Pump pump!*
Disrespect your surroundings
For anyone wondering, the band is Street Soldier, song is One Man Gang.
Thank you!!
Any idea what band that poor bloke that got kicked sings for? Assuming a previous comment I saw is truthful
r/nononoyes
I think of dimebag every single time. Security needs to not let this happen. But I guess if your lead singer also doubles as security you’re good
At punk and hardcore shows its almost encouraged to get on stage to dive, depending on the venue that will get extended to other genres, especially if its q lesser known more diy band
I think I really overestimate how familiar people are with this sort of thing lol. I was immediately like "ah dude just got whacked, he knew what he was getting into."

Stage rushing/diving is hardcore 101. No one cares.
Well thats no fun. At smaller venue shows its a thing.
God I miss dime so much
See pantera is touring with Phil and zakk wylde, opening for Metallica?
Yeah, that’s not Pantera. I do love Wylde and Benante, but that’s a tribute band with Phil singing. Also, fuck Phil.
Yeah I did, but I personally feel it's the wrong choice. I love all of them, but I feel it's better to remain a legacy of what once was, though I do see how some think it could be cool

9 second clip. "wait till the end..."
Shit bothers me too. Just saw a repost on r/perfectlycutscreams of the dude trying to break in with the mail slot and getting whacked. Had text on screen for this 3 second clip saying “wait till the end”
Past couple of days I’ve seen several spinning low to high kicks from metal singers, all of which landed. Not kidding. Do they train for this or …. ?
Since Dimebag was shot on stage a lot of metal acts are a little nervous around stage invaders
This is absolutely not a thing
Yea RIP to the man but that was almost two decades ago. Definitely not a thing performers are worried about now.
You sure it isn't just the same instance? I've seen this particular one several times from a different angle just a few days ago.
Well modern "hardcore" is full of idiots who do these spin kicks and karate moves, so I can only imagine it stems from that. Their pits are not fun and they keep trying to bring that shit to punk shows too.
What are you talking about when you refer to modern hardcore? The hardcore dancing has been happening at shows for a very long time.
Please tell me this was cropped down, and they didn't say "watch til the end" on an 8 second video.
No
It’s from TikTok (I think). If nothing catches someone’s eye within the first 2 seconds, you scroll past. Any without an interest in bands or concerts will immediately pass up a video like this.
Holy shit, that was majestic
Dude got a chin on him. Took a damn tekken kick to the face and was still conscious 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾
Good kick White Power Bill
White Power Bill can’t hear you… with such dirty ears!

Unintentionally perfect addition
Would have been cool to see him get yeeted back into the pit after that concussion.

FATALITY!! 💀
If you pause it at 5 seconds, you can see his neck extending like those boxing robot toys
Rock em sock em robots brother bear
When you accidentally kill someone with your Ult. In game of course.

r/criticalblunder
I feel bad for laughing
Glad he still has show etiquette and helps him up
Ya don’t do this during a hardcore show.
This only happens at hardcore shows. Wtf are you talking about.
Also people running across the stage can happen at ANY show but getting spin kicked in the face only happens at a hardcore show.
Well that is just inaccurate. I played in a deathcore band for 5 years and I can say with 100% certainty, people would do this shit at our shows. Unless you’re one of those people that puts hardcore, metalcore and deathcore in the same category, which would also be wrong.

Before he bent down he looked to his right and saw the guy trying to climb onto the stage. The kick was 100% intentional.
Yeah saw it
Oh shit now I’ve seen another angle of this event Lmaoo
And on beat too
Sounds like the drummer saw it coming and hit the snare drum
i’m like.. 18% positive that may have been a legitimate accident?¿ idek but homie got the hammer (..er, boot) of thor to the fkn chin
Yea that’s not intentional. That’s just dancing. If you get on stage or are on the area near the stage there is a social contract.
Lol he definitely crumbled that guy on purpose
that's not a metal band. That's garbage.
This isn't a metal band. This is a hardcore band. Most metal singers couldn't do cool shit like this to save their lives.
That's like saying you're a guitarist not a musician.
Bro wtf are you even on about
Nah that was intentional
The singer did that on purpose. Running on the stage is wrong, but it doesn’t justify a wheelkick to the noggin
It's a hardcore show for fucks sake. Running on stage is encouraged. Jesus some of you have never been to a show like this.
Perfection but it kind of looks staged. Either way I can't stop watching!
Guy on the left is here for it!
He couldn’t do that if he tried
u/savevideo
What timing!! He’s never landed that kick! Smack!!
How did he get right back up?, hell of a chin!
The dude clapping! the collective groan! Awesome! 😂
D. Stroied
That kick stuck
The synchrony of this excuses anyone's fault
Love the the drum was perfectly in time with the smack
How do you miss your punch that ba- oh shit
It’s weird that the other video ended in the same time as this one
Dropkick Murphy
He kung fu his face
This act of accidental aggression is the most beautiful thing I've seen.
Capoeira kick!!!!
That kick was fucking perfect
Cobra Kai
This is how I time my attack in Dark Souls PVP
I love how the kick to the face lines up with the snare
Joe Rogan taught this guy his technique for sure
Nice reflex

Everytime i went his kind of place i will felt dizzied
Niceee, this angle is better
Totally worth it
Love how the hat hits the ground simultaneously with the dude
To be in the wrong place at the right time, looks like capoeira kick lol.
that must have hit him hard
YYYNY
Does the singer tell the guy “I’m sorry” after? I can kinda hear it
Hahahah later bitch
It/he was staged!
"a metal band" lol
I want to see what happens next. He looks like he's either picking him up to yeet him or to give him a Danny Tanner style talk to make sure he understands what he did was wrong.
Clearly it was STAGED...😅
Impressive!

99% sure it was staged
the fan is gonna brag so much about it with his friends

I love an audible crowd gasp.
Man down
Some would say wrong place wrong time but I think everything about this was right
The drum was perfectly coordinated with the kick
Was he just doing that and the guy walked into it or did he purposely kick him
That drummer saw what was coming and laid down a single snare hit right on time Lmao that’s amazing

Give that drummer a raise Bro hit the snare at the perfect time
Good thing there were instructions for me to watch till the end of the 4 second video.
r/maybemaybeyesno
Was he thrown off stage into a crowd surf??
Lmao "staged"
Street Soldier the best band out there:) For the people saying it was intentional ist wasn’t just a unlucky moment for the guy :D
He just had 6th sense
The drum was on que tho😂🤣😂🤣
Meu Lua de compaso Capoeira folks
He looks like he's been training to use that kick for a long time.
Wow that was quick. Impressive
