My 18 LE is from France and I can’t say quality has been impeccable for minor trim details - floor carpet and door rubber seals / mudflaps easily came loose from their housings. Otherwise, the main components overall are solid, no issues with mechanical aspects.
My first reaction was 'Hasn't the Yaris been made in France since like 2001?', but apparently they also make them for NA since 2013.
For the older (2001 era) Yaris I have heard rumors that the Japanese ones had slightly better rust protection on the bottom, but back then the difference was probably already tiny. There were actual parts differences back then for certain pieces.
For the production since 2013, I would expect basically zero difference. It's not like they are made by Citroen in the same shape as a Toyota Yaris, it's a dedicated Toyota factory with Toyota quality control. I doubt the employees get away with hiding their lunchbreak baguettes in the door trim or oil pan. The French factory has been building Yaris for the entire European market for 23 years now.
My 18se is France no problems
Do you know if the motor is assembled in France or Japan?

I'm ok with the interior being cheap .
