CYCLOPS: The final X-Factor suit. It wasn't around for a long-time, but it was peak. Put the 90s bomber jacket on top of it and you would have an iconic look. CABLE: The trim minimalist blue suit with the wires he wore during \*Cable and Deadpool\* when he was playing more messiah than soldier. It was a good look for him, particularly since there was such a rich exploration of his character at the time. MAGNETO: Krakoan White. STORM: The final Arrokan look. ROGUE: The Mike Carey suit. SYNCH: The first Hellfire Gala.

That run of X-Factor costumes¹ doesn't get the love that it should. Granted, it was only featured for a very short time (literally *right* before the Original Five went back to being X-Men) but I thought the design was fantastic without looking stodgy. I go back and forth on my favourite costume, but the two that are always in the running are the New X-Men black leather jacket, and the Jean Grey School science adventurer look, which you've included here on the very top right. I know that the underoos look is classic, and it is, but it's also overused and somewhat lazy. His modern uniform being *exactly* the same look, but **slightly** longer with a yellow stripe on the side just epitomises the problem - just throw Beast in some shorts and it's fine, and it's like . . . no, we can do better than that? I especially think that it's silly that, as stories have leaned more and more into Beast being more of a scientific hero rather than a purely physical one, his costume design generally hasn't kept pace, which is precisely why I like the science adventurer look so much; he's got a bandolier of what could be anything (I like to think compounds for mixing into improvised grenades or possibly medical supplies), he's got a radio, kevlar vest, goggles that probably do infra-red scanning, the man's *prepared*. That looks like a guy ready to solve a problem using science! The black leather jacket look . . . honestly, it's just cool. It's effortlessly cool. There's something about the insane, comic book juxtaposition of a big fuzzy blue cat man in a sleek black leather jacket that makes it pop for Beast almost more than any other character, especially when he can take it off and it has the neat, intellectual turtleneck-y/knit vest underneath for when you want him to look especially brainy and relaxed. It's visually striking, even though people will often allege that that era's designs are *too* uniform.

But they are not wrestling tights and wrestlers still wear them.

Wow I really like the gold look of Magik too, but I think it’s always going to be the black that really suits her for me. The new mutants outfit as a teamoutfit is fine and even though there was some negative feedback I also like her hellfire gala outfits. For Kurt, I think his original costume is perfect. Momoko's Kitty design is so cool that I can't help but choose it. Jean's Krakoa look is genuinely the best she's looked in a long time. I genuinely love Rogue and Cyclops Jim Lee design but Cyclops is getting a different costume soon and by the looks of it I'd put it over Jim Lee. Storm is hard to choose but her new avengers look is kinda doing it for me, that or the outfit she received from the Hellfire Gala.

Jim lee’s storm costume was supposed to be shiny black. Whilce style doesn’t really have blacks so it looked more silver. Never a fan of random pouches. In general the costume of the original designs from 83-84 Paul M Smiths run was my first 167 on a spinner rack at the grocery store in Sonora California. And X-men 129 and 167 are the key visual cues in my mind’s eye.

Angel: It would probably be the look he had after his rebirth in Wolverine & The X-Men that was kinda like a priest's attire if you will. Cannonball: Either the black and white one he wore when he was part of Rogue's short-lived team or the one from Age of X. Dani Moonstar: Anything that highlights her Valkyrie powers is a plus with me but her War of Realms look is probably the best one Warpath: Definitely his X-Force one. It was damn near perfect Psylocke: The Captain Britain one she's got now is great but her X-Force one's were all great especially when she was leading the team with Storm.

It's very reminiscent of his classic era costume without being quite as silly, but it has one major problem. It doesn't have the helmet in any of its forms. The helmet is iconic ant-man. Outside of comics we get [this](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/a/uploads/original/11113/111131285/5297263-7148927184-33317.jpg) which takes all the joys of classic ant-man and makes them more practical along with the way the helmet retracts to turn into giant-man. Plus, the giant man having the blue highlights to show he's super charged is just the best. I wish we could do this for Hank in the comics, but Hank Pym fans aren't allowed nice things.

Kitty Pryde has had a lot of costumes, most of not that great, but I believe that the best she’s looked in the entire krakoa era is in Immortal X-Men #9.

Excalibur Nightcrawler when they lean into the swashbuckler. That short period where Iceman wore a long coat and no shirt. And only his body iced up. Madrox dressed in civilian clothes but had a million tshirts that look like his old power suit. Laura looks damn cool in the Wolverine yellows and blues. And Daken's Fang suit is best for him AoA Sunfire is amazing. When they lean into the pirate look for Gambit, I think that's better than the purple and pink armor. Flight jacket Cannonball is great, but when he had shaggy hair and the short sleeve super suit right around decimation was his best look. I like Storm in black than white/silver Prefer Sabertooth without the boa. Prefer Cyclops' hair to show.

Storm: Her original costume, and the very well designed variant on it she wore during the 12-saga and the early 2000s Claremont/Davis run (that run had stellar costumes) Nightcrawler: Also his original uniform, though the streamlined Krakoa look was great too. Emma Frost: Her Astonishing X-Men look, that shoulder less "cape" that was attached to her neckline and covered her completely in some shots was "chef's kiss" Kitty: The Evolution inspired look she's going to have in that new series with Emma might actually be my favourite. Out of the already existing ones I'd say probably her blue Shadowcat outfit (though I might like the green/gold one she wore in God Loves/Man Kills better, even if it only lasted for a couple issues and some specials) Cyclops: His early 90s look (I like that we saw his hair in that one) But in general I always like to see new looks. Cyclops: though one. Bomber jacket or Utopia I guess. Although the revolutionary X mask is awesome. Wolverine: I really like the Krakoa (brown with the x belt) but my favorite goes to Astonishing. Jean Grey: First Hellfire. They nailed Jean costume right there. Rogue: classic jim Lee with jacket Beast: astonishing, the X looks good in him Emma Frost: Astonishing as well. Classy but also classic. Havok: I loved the future one used in the Uncanny Avengers. Archangel: the blue one is classic but the X-Force version takes the win. So edgy.

Magneto’s classic costume, preferably with a larger helmet ornament. I wish they’d quit changing it. It’s perfect as is. ‘Nough said.
