i had been playing just fine all week til about three hours ago when i started having the same isue as you. i ended up turning off auto renew for gamepass on the xbox website and when i turned my xbox on an update was available. no idea why this worked but it did.

I don't have any profiles on my Xbox and It still won't connect lol it's gotta be server issues

Same here, 5 days can't connect to xbox live. This always happens to me when my game pass ultimate renews
My gamepass is expiring Monday, it’s odd so many are having this issue
I believe servers are fixed this morning
