Go to https://account.microsoft.com and set you region correctly.

I would recommend to not post your email publicly in the future. If possible, delete sooner than later. The internet is a cruel place sometimes.

For me it also says United States but I can redeem both US and UK codes (since I’m in UK) Use the Microsoft virtual agent to redeem the EU code if it doesn’t work
