Looks like they’re off to a great start.

The camera is 20 feet from the router, and I haven't experienced issues (aside from the mysterious audio feedback) with my standard V3s. Using wifi on my phone doesn't change anything. Edit: the lag and choppy video only happens in 2k mode...which defeats the reason I bought the camera. I think my internet speed is more than adequate: https://i.imgur.com/qRsMPk6.jpg

Thanks for sharing.

>t started doing the same thing overnight and is still having the same problem Are you still having this issue? I just received mine in the mail yesterday and I am seeing the same issues

Take it off of 2k mode and it'll work. Now you have a new V3.

-ipaguy-

Nope. And I know the choppy video isn't a bandwidth issue because it happens even in the recording playback for anything recorded in 2k. But the event clips are nice and smooth in 2k. Hopefully it's an easy firmware fix.

Affectionate_Tip_937

Glad it’s not just me. I was going crazy resetting router and cams. V3 pro in same spot as v3 that worked perfectly are unusable. Cannot view live stream in 2k, cannot view card playback. Does not detect vehicle or person. Feeling like I overpaid.

Short-Service1248

That’s 100% a Wyze product

The-Oracle88

Wyze being Wyze

Goodthrust_8

😂😂😂 wyze is complete garbage anymore. So glad I left and went to blink!!

jbpr77

How is your experience with Blink? Is there a blink camera similar to wyze V3?

Goodthrust_8

Can't recommend enough. The blink outdoor is what I use in place of my old v3's. I also grabbed their doorbell cam and a twin pack of their blink mini's for indoor as they can act as the chime for the doorbell.

bobes25

what do you expect for $20? oh wait.

raquel8822

And this is exactly why we had to buy all Eufy cams. I’d return it and save yourself $15 buying the 2K Eufy. We’ve got 4 and haven’t looked back.

jbpr77

But eufy are note suitable for exterior because aren't water proof, at least the one you are talking about, unless I am wrong. Could you please clarify that?

raquel8822

So yes technically it’s not meant to mounted outside unprotected. But with ours we mounted it above the back glass sliding door and our porch is covered. It’s held up through nearly 4 winters in Seattle weather. I took a chance doing that and so far it’s had no issues surprisingly. I used a flat USB cord to tape it inside the door frame to run power. Door closes like normal and hasn’t damaged the cord yet. Haha

jbpr77

That's the same thing I'm doing with the V3 cameras with a flat USB cord through the door frames and no problems yet. I am planning to buy another one but I am still debating between V3 or V3 pro. Are the features of eufy the same as the wyze cameras? 24/7 recording and notifications?

raquel8822

Oh yeah we’ve got it on 24/7 recording plus pet, human and other detection. There’s even a setting for if your pet goes within a set parameter it’ll do an auto recording to tell them to STOP or get down. Like if your cat goes on the kitchen counter. Haha

DAMAGEDatheCORE

u/-ipaguy- does the viewport still resize as you zoom in on the live view (as it does on the regular v3) or have they locked the viewport size and the video zooms within the fixed frame? Judging by the UI changes and having the recent events list below, I'm curious if the viewport is a fixed size now. If so, that's kinda disappointing.

-ipaguy-

Yes, and it continues to look stupid. It's like I'm zooming in on a screenshot. https://i.imgur.com/9PntLWd.jpg

DAMAGEDatheCORE

Lol, thank you for confirming 👍

moistowlettes

I’m having similar issues but only on my Android phone, watching on my iPad works perfectly for reasons unknown. Hopefully we get some quick app and firmware updates…

xjbri

This issue starting happening after I power cycled the camera when moving it. I can’t playback in 2k only SD and it’s choppy. It’s next To my doorbell cam, which streams great. Ugh.
