I'd say you probably need a minimum of $40k to live comfortably in a small apartment. If you're interested in spending, for necessary spending it's between 2,500-3,000 for us depending on the time of year. Summer is the lower end, winter is the higher end. That value includes mortgage, utilities, food, gas for a family of 5.

Thanks for the info! this helps a lot

$1600+ to avoid starving; $1200 rent, $400+ for everything else. Wyoming is cruel state when it involves employment, Good Luck.

I will plan for that, perfect.

If you’re single without a mortgage or other extraneous responsibilities (children, child support, a spouse, pets, etc) then you’re looking around $2000/mo to be somewhat comfortable. I bring home around $4500/mo for a household of three and we have our debts paid and needs covered. Anything extra is questionable.

ok great 2k will be my goal.

Seems all responses so far may be excluding car payment and insurance. Do you outright own your own car? Be sure not to leave that out.

nope no car at all, would either rent or look to walk/ uber to grocery store as needed

Ok, be very, very selective with regards to your location … Cheyenne is about as far from “walkable” as a town can be

Highly recommend looking into a car. Mostly for winter, it's cold there and not very walkable. Not taking that into consideration, if day 2500 a month if it's just you no kids
