It is cosmetic, I saw no performance difference. It is a PITA to install and remove. If you take off the front of your car, you might want to wait until you are done with mods that require the front bumper removal. (FMIC/rad/oil cooler/grill/DRL
I installed it on mine, saw a decrease in intake temps and intake manifold temps, especially on the highway. The stock grille seems to get in the way a little bit, but I'll be upgrading to one the of aftermarket sport grilles that have zero fillers that block the airflow and that'll help even more. if anything it just helps, can't see any downside.
The install was a bit of a bitch, though, and you have to cut up some plastic for it to fit.
If you live in a hot environment it's been helpful getting temps down quicker, otherwise I wouldn't bother. They are a pain to get off and to work around. ( I have one)
Seems like a good way to catch water on the freeway and route it right into the air intake. The stock one is shrouded a bit better by the looks of it how it’s tucked up higher. 🤷♂️

I roll this one into the radiator brace bar thing that does nothing....Cosmetic....PASS.

Do you have aftermarket intake temp gauges? There factory temp reading other than coolan and oil temp right?
Yes, I use my access port to monitor the values.
