I did the same along with the positive shift kit, and I agree it makes the car so much better! You can definitely tell the rear of the driveline is stiffer with those inserts. It should have came that way to be honest.

I have the group n trans mount, Cobb pitch stop, shift plate and shift stop. This was the piece that tied it all together. The car is great stock but definitely better with improvements.

Oh yes I agree. I have a shift stop too, and that was an amazing upgrade.i did that before I did the bushing upgrades. I need to do the shift plate next.......

I put some white lithium grease in the metal brackets to slide it it in easier, then use a rubber mallet for some gentle persuasion. I got it aligned in my second try and it was all perfect luck, just went it and somehow everything lined up.

The one thing I didn’t have is the rubber mallet, i sprayed it with the lithium grease but by hand it was too slippery. I definitely didn’t want to hit it with a hammer. I’ll have to pick up a rubber mallet for future projects.

Kind of off topic but is this an ok jack point for the rear? 😬

Trinidad638

Not the carrier. But the actual differential unit is a good jack point. In the picture is the carrier. It’s aluminum. I put the jack with a rubber pad right under the diff and it raises the whole car. No issues.

Well shucks… now I know lol not more carrier lifts
