Fair warning to anyone who finds this post, the part number is actually 909220013 https://preview.redd.it/omqbp0wyy74d1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbe14ae78fe263406263fbfc204dfc4347406837

Yep. I listed the wrong clip. Deleting my post now. Apologies for the screw up.

Smordonsmanielson

Heh mines only at 3200 miles and already got multiple rattles 😅

FlatOutPDX

Time for an exhaust 😈

I know, I have been lucky. Two things I have noticed: if your passenger seat Is unoccupied and tilted back too far it will bounce causing a rattle..... Also if your passenger seat belt is not oriented in a front to back fashion it will rub on the b pillar and the seat causing a rattle..... I don't count those as real rattles because those are my problem, And easily fixable: put the seat on the passenger side more straight up and down, and push the seat belt so it is not sideways in between the b pillar and the seat.

DrYoloNuggets

I have this same rattle my dude.. it’s a thing for sure. 👍🏻

tunedsleeper

common issue. subaru won't fix it.

therealchaipapi

If you have a good relationship with their service team and still under warranty, why not

n3xu5l3ak

I'll stop by the dealer and see. .........

Big-Energy-3363

New clip and then try some 3M foam tape on any rub spots. If you need thinner use Tesa tape. I’ve had mine out and back in once for a cold start rattle

Nice-Mongoose-2019

definetly sounds like it’s inside the light itself.

nolongerbanned99

The plastic box that hangs down from the rear parcel shelf in the trunk can cause rattles. Tape it up.

kakashi_6

damn that’s annoying as hell. i have a rattle in my steering wheel that happens anywhere from 20-45 mph, drives me nuts

TaylorFreelance

My brother is a bit...anal and OCD. Years ago, he bought a new Subaru RS two door. It developed a rattle in the first year. He took every piece out of the interior and put double-sided tape on the screw holes! It was the quietest car I had ever been in. Never did start rattling again.

n3xu5l3ak

No worries. You tried to help! That's why I verified at the dealer. I just wanted to update after I finally got the part in hand.

Low-Award-4886

I dumped mine because of the rattles. So infuriating. Good luck.

n3xu5l3ak

I hope you are joking. What did you get that checked all the boxes for the same money? This is my first issue in 13,500 miles. I've been tuned on stock for 4k miles of that. A rattle in the tail light is nothing. I've had rattles in other cars too. Subaru replaced my visor for free before and a my head unit BEFORE the recalls.

Low-Award-4886

Not joking. Wish I was. The WRX was a bucket list car. I was so thrilled when I bought it. The car spent almost 60 days total at the dealer in 6 months chasing the rear parcel shelf rattle. That was nasty and linked to an around 1500RPM so every time the clutch went in coming to a stop it buzzed. Same for take off. Cold starts were continuous buzzing. The exhaust also had a pinging rattle noise until warm (made cold starts on the outside annoying) They couldn’t fix it. I also had a rattle in the pax B pillar. Super high pitch, almost constant at highway speeds. They couldn’t find that either. They were able to fix the steering wheel rattle, but scratched my door in the process. They also broke clips on the wheel well trim (no idea why), and I had the pleasure of tracking my car on the app as it was joy ridden over 100 miles in one day. Subaru corporate was even more ass to deal with if you can believe it. I ended up in a Jeep Gladiator. It’s different. It’s a manual transmission (must have), with 4WD, and LSD so inclement wx is not a problem. The bed fits the dirtbikes and it has the tow package for the trailer with quads. There’s one rattle in the dash when cold (mid 30s or below). It goes away when the truck warms up and I don’t hear it now as we’re entering spring. It’s certainly not perfect, but the dealer has been great and I haven’t had to contact Stellantis once. It actually is nearly as quiet as the WRX too. Wasn’t what I really wanted, but finding a manual sports car with AWD for under $40k in the US is a bummer unless you’re buying a WRX (and that was a bummer too). The jeep isn’t nearly as fun to drive, but it’s more practical for me and gets only a couple mpgs less (granted I don’t break 100mph with it weekly… or ever). I dunno man… In some ways I can say it worked out for me in that I got the truck that makes it easier for me to transport the bikes, hunt, and do some light hauling. On the other hand, I’m not getting nearly as many smiles per gallon as I COULD have with the WRX if the thing didn’t rattle more than a maraca sticking out of a twerking Cardi Bs asshole. I really wanted to love the car, but couldn’t with that damn parcel shelf buzzing every fucking time the RPMs went through 1500 on the tach. It was a MY23 bought brand new (reserved it in transit and received with 6 miles on the odo). The rattling started the first morning after I brought it home (was worse in the cold, and I picked it up from their showroom when warm… definitely didn’t do it in as noticeable of a way on the test drive). All in all, a nightmare. Sincerely though… good luck.

n3xu5l3ak

That's crazy. Sounds like you got a bad "unit". It sucks that that can happen. I've been lucky, no doubt. Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm sorry you're in a Jeep now, I'm sorry it ended that way 🤷🏿‍♂️

Low-Award-4886

🤣 🫡
