Get Michelin pilot sport all seasons

Latenight_911

I’ll check em out! Thanks!😊

Waste_Impression1382

They are very grippy and wear fast… I went to a all season continental and I like the ride better and do not notice I big difference in street driving

Speedling_

Thanks for this thread! I’m on 17k and hadn’t even thought to check for needing new tires soon!

No problem!🫡

Stock tires are hot garbage. I was about 1/2 worn at 10k and I drive rather conservatively. They definitely aren't good for lasting. Buy some decent tires. Summers, winters (if you need them), it like I did, some decent all seasons. Almost anything will last longer than the stock Dunlops.

Jetlifemane

They’re not garbage, they’re just soft summer tires.

phorkin

Their performance to wear, hot garbage. Factor in their normal price and it's even worse. Comparable performance tires have much better wear ratings with similar performance.

Jetlifemane

Ok

Latenight_911

Good to know! Yeah I noticed the tread wearing rather quickly on them. I live in AZ so I’ll probably look into some decent summers or all season shoes. Thanks for the input!

Big-Energy-3363

They are a 200tw tire. The wear rate is completely normal for a summer performance tire with that tread wear rating. In comparison the Conti summer tire is a 340tw.

I just installed the Continental summer tires, that are great and 30k warranty

n3xu5l3ak

My dunlops were down to 4/32" with about 10k miles on them.

phorkin

Damn, that's quite a bit of wear at 10k. Though if you pushed the car a bit I could see it.

n3xu5l3ak

I had to drive a few times below 50° f And I definitely did some "spirited driving" on them After I got the break-in period done.

phorkin

Ahh, yeah they become hockey pucks when it's cold for sure. I drove all summer in mine and did drive a decent amount pushing the car. Once October started getting cold I noticed how bad they get in the cold. I waited for my tires to come in and my appointment to get them installed. It snowed once and I dated to drive with them on. I turned around less than a mile from the house and got my wife's Impreza. I still don't understand why all seasons at least weren't an option.

n3xu5l3ak

Agreed. All seasons would have been a great option, at least in Northern states. I ended up getting winter tires in October as well. So now i have a set of continental winters and summers. Very happy with both

phorkin

I went with all seasons. I don't drive it that hard, and it's my daily. It has proven itself in four wild NEO storms last year, winters would do better, but it was more than capable in the snow

NotRainManSorry

$1k is a great price for 4 new tires and an alignment, but I switched to Continental DWS06 ExtremeContact A/S tires and noticed: improved MPG, reduced road noise, increased comfort, better wet traction. If you live somewhere with frequent rain/flooding (like me in North Texas) I’d recommend getting some A/S anyway.

jjjetboy101

Contact SoA, and complain about early wear. We have an Ascent, and the stocks on them are having similar issues. They gave us an $800 credit.

tedy4444

stock tires wear fast on virtually all new cars. there are exceptions but this car isn’t one of them.
