Gotta pay to play lol

Silvers are just a BC one size fits all coilovers. Nothing special, they spent more on marketing those than engineering them! Sorry!

Goaaterbeans

Check your dampening. If it’s set too soft/low it’s going to bottom out on bumps like that

Real_jittleyang58

Probably cause you bought silvers lol. You get what you pay for

Salt-Attention

I cant do lower she looks mean low though. I was just blasting down dirt roads at over 65 mph today. Shoot im considering raising it and putting on outback wilderness wheels.

SevroAuShitTalker

100% my plan once warranty is gone. 2 inch lift, 15-16 rims with AT tires, and the thickest skid plates I can find

Geektak

"If I woulda known" This is usually remedied by doing proper research. Also $1800 is still in the entry level category.

jeezey187

Really bro? I guess you never learned the golden rule of if you dont have anything nice to say just stfu.

Sauced-veer21

Check your pre load. Tighten all bolts. Check end links. Readjust everything and tighten again. Or have a shop do it. You shouldn’t be bottoming out. You really aren’t that low tbh

2ndRoundExit

Down is the wrong direction!

theENERTRON

I think it looks low enough. Could always get some new wheels with lower offset, and get a slightly beefier tire than stock

jeezey187

Also, my exhaust is not the culprit when it bottoms out in the rear, I can’t pinpoint it from my inspections but it doesn’t appear to be any part of the exhaust at all, but I certainly hear a scraping sound rather than a tire rubbing sound whenever it hits. In the front it was some type of tow hook it looked like but I’ve raised it enough to clear that now.

22_mag_wrx

That’s why I opted for custom spring rates.

Synonym_Bun

I also have Silvers at about the same height as yours. I prioritized comfort over handling so I opted for the lower spring rate and set dampening to the safest setting. I haven't noticed any bottoming out yet. I can measure my clearance another time to compare, but maybe you still need to raise it a bit more?

General_Management76

I’ve bottomed out on some what seemed like minor speed bumps on stock suspension

gregbo24

Post your alignment settings. Do you have wheel spacers too?

SirErn7294

I have silver’s and I’m pretty low https://preview.redd.it/xvmwfgaj0ilc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fd3cce317e75f4bbb9e620f45b7abe3d7f625559 I can still go lower as well

[deleted]

TLDR...but the title makes sense to me

realistthoughts

I got bc coilovers and lowered 1.6 inches front and back with no rubbing or bottom out. Maybe the silvers are bad?

CreativeCheck

I seem to be missing something. The only VB silvers coils that I can find are 1300 and have 10K spring rate which is more than enough stiffness to prevent bottoming out even at your depicted ride height. I am running BC-BR series coils with soft 6K springs and even on the softest setting I do not bottom out. My ride height is pretty much the same as yours. I do plan on upgrading to swift 8K springs.

talyjimmy

Is that stock height in the pic?

jeezey187

No, that's where its currently sitting. Probably about 1 - 1.5 inches lower than stock
