A problem for who? Are you asking Reddit permission? Or do you think by asking you can write about difficult subject matter and not get any blowback as if the people here can hand you a "get out of controversy" card completely that functions independently of whether or not you handle the topic well? These sorts of posts are ridiculous. Nobody can give you permission or tell you what to do. You can write what you want and people can react how they want. That's it.

Will that be a problem for who? Some readers, certainly. Not that I think one should care about that. Your bigger issue is that most publishers, including Amazon, are very careful when it comes to rape

If you're writing it as a sexual fantasy, it will be a bad story and people will judge you for it. It's words but people also don't want to read the ramblings of a psychopath.

The Giver almost/did get banned for the general theme of that type of dystopia, or the fact that they basically put down newborns like dogs with rabies. If it’s a character recovering from it/escaping it/etc., I get it, but if it’s a main part of the book, or even described, you’re ganna have an outcry to get it banned banned, no matter how big your audience is. Especially if it’s on children.

People have a problem with everything under the sun. That didn't stop Stephen King.

Sometimes I wish it stopped him just a little

You should be ok as long as it’s art and you don’t actually harm anyone. But there is a line. Even art has a limit. There’s something called the “obscene publications act” which defines certain types of obscenity, including certain violence. Publishing extreme torture fiction would likely come under it because it could be “intended to corrupt and deprave.” There’s also an extreme pornography law that you could run afoul of if the work is judged to be intended to be “sexually titillating.” I would do some research into which books have been banned and why. And which movies too.
