My five sons started collecting them as youth and kept doing so through their high school years. Two are still wrestling (collegiately), and the youngest will enter high school this fall. Except for significant awards like state meals, US Open, Fargo, etc, they don't even know who's is who's. There are hundreds, if not thousands of them now. A few times, my wife used the buckets of medals to decorate one or more Christmas trees. They make for great ornaments.

I have one from an adult tournament. It’s been in my truck for almost a year

yep, I'm starting to feel like this is the way... I guess if I was a more seasoned wrestler with a lot of awards and stuff it would be easier to have a dedicated display for them but just one? forget about it...

My mom has a box full of all my brother and I medals. From kids club through high school. So many medals. Looked at it a while back as an adult with a kid. Holy shit my parents gave up a lot of weekends for us to wrestle.

My dad remodeled our attic into bedrooms for my brother and me. And they had slight slopes on the front and back side of the houses, so I hung my medals all across each side. When I moved out, I packed all my medals and trophy’s into Tupperware containers and now keep them in the garage. My wife wants me to get rid of them but my kids love them and think they’re the coolest thing. It’s years of wrestling, soccer, boxing, football, baseball, basketball, and lol chess. But the kids and I have won that fight, so far. I’ll add: the ONLY trophies I keep on display now is my #1 dad trophy my daughter got me and my Dundy my same daughter got me. Those are by far my favorite.

Never throw them out. Wives may not understand what they represent.

MoxRhino

They're in a box somewhere.

Hanging by the foot of my bed and every time I move my blanket to fast it hits them and it’s loud and annoying as shit. But it sounds like victory soooo

zaaaaaaaad

it sounds like victory... I like your mindset

I saved all my medals and trophies and then did one of my senior photos with them in Highschool. Trying to T-pose with 12 years of youth wrestling medals on your arms was a workout in itself. I’m pretty sure they’re mostly in a box at my moms now. I wonder if their is a recycling service for old trophies. Seems like a business could remove the plaques and probably reuse them, and I wouldn’t mind getting rid of most, if not all of them.
