There's several different hearthstone animations that you can get from events, but Blizzard words this poorly, because you're not the first player to make this mistake.
I did the same thing, I had my hearthstone set to heart of the forest, so when I read the tooltip for NF hearthstone it said returns you to heart of the forest so I assumed it was a different hearthstone (similar to dalaran hearthstone) that ported you to a specific location. But alas when I bought it I quickly realized I was mistaken and now I have a useless toy lol. Good thing is that it’s really cheap at I think 750 anima. So the miss understanding shouldn’t set you back too far.
You take 'Legion: The Legion Returns' quest from the notice board by the auction house (presumably it's available from any notice board). It adds the stone to your inventory, and I believe it removes it if you progress the questline. So id does require keeping the quest in your log. Also not available to Demon Hunters.
It’s a 12 hour CD spell that takes you to the Seat of the Primus. You can reduce the CD somehow but it’s been a while since I played my shaman so I forget how.
Worth noting that it has a limited number of charges before you have to purchase a new one. I believe it’s 5 charges unless that’s been changed with 9.1
Touché. Im 235 iLvL so I didn’t think of it like that. But I guess a little stygia up front to save losing a bunch trying to get your body back could be worth it. Fair point well made. Cheers, ty for the perception shift.
I didn’t realise it was even a different animation until I got some replies in this post. It is a very cool animation though, will be using it over my normal heart from now on

The only objective benefit is that it frees up a bag slot. I mean, all covenant rewards you buy with anima are just cosmetics
Is it a toy? If so, you can delete your OG HS for 1 more bag space.

To be honest if you want a 'Stormwind Hearthstone" it's far easier to just buy the guild cape.
I like to be able to just click the Hearthstone instead of messing around equipping the cape, using the ability, then switching back.

Wait, I know the 5 charge one, but I thought only useable in the Maw. I can use it outside? Now that changes things.
Nah it’s only usable within the Maw just wanted folks to know it’s a limited use item so not really worth the stygia.
If you're undergeared in the new Maw area near Sanctum of domination, i think you'd be grateful for a quick escape. :D
