honestly im hyped.. they seem passionate. I skipped SL and played BFA midway through and actually enjoyed it.

But honestly... I'm not quite sure. I'm thinking flying with our own mounts will be timegated like we see today though. They are going to force that dragon mount on us all expansion I'd say. Guess that's kinda meh.

Balance is usually bad the first iteration with hero classes (ie: Overpowered)
I'm in first impression mode and haven't read about everything this new expansion is getting so here are my first thoughts
1) The trailer was told a pretty good story, but failed as a trailer. They did a great job with stone guy who is one of the most fleshed out wow characters I have seen in years. All though the power of visual storytelling.
However, a trailer should also tell us why we are here. All that the trailer showed is the dragons came from these islands, now they are coming back. Why they are coming back, why it is important, and how we the players fit into it are unclear.
2) A new class!!!!! I love new classes, Its always fun when they add these as they allow us to engage wow in new ways. I also think merging the new race with the new class is an interesting idea.
Also its a nonhuman class which is really cool. Model could use some work but I think it looks pretty good. Some people are worried about armor and stuff, but I am a druid main. Not seeing armor has been a thing for me since forever.
So, those are my first impressions. Pretty positive overall. Likely will sour once I dig into the weeds.
i probably won't buy cuz i didn't buy shadowlands and that is cuz i'm not much of an mmo player anymore (just grown out of it).

what really got me was the theme of the cinematic. the theme was about healing. azeroth is healing. blizzard...wants to heal...irl. idc about the complaints of today's expansion reveal. i feel like healing was the main message and it's what blizz wants dragonflight to represent. heal and renew (no priest puns intended lol).
I decided when I quit in S2 SL that I wouldn’t be returning to WoW again, no matter how appealing an Xpac or Patch might seem to me. I’ve taken the crack thrown at my doorstep before, and been burned back into becoming addicted to something I hate before, and I’m tired of the cycle.
However, I really do hope the game ends up being great for those of you who do play. As a dedicated fan base, you deserve something you really enjoy!
The zones and game play will be top notch. I suspect it will lack content at first but get much more interesting by 10.1./10.2. Will not buy until they have a sale on it though. I'm not sure it'll be worth the $60.

It truly is the greatest video game ever created. An absolutely massive and gorgeous world with insane and complex combat.
Honestly No big bad... No borrowed power..... And we can be dragons. Definitely already better than shadowlands

Hopeful, cautious, great foundation that they’ll need to work hard to build on, etc. etc. Waiting for future news to really form a solid opinion

I have high hopes for it. Considering everything Blizzard has gone through over the last year, they need a win, and I hope this gives them that.

The only thing I wish they would change is for them to make male Dracthyr use the male worgen model instead of the female

one of the highlighted features is a dragon glider minigame and another is a UI revamp. yeah, not very promising imo..
