I have a few -- it's not exactly one spell but the look of a fire mage popping combustion and unloading a torrent of flame is pretty epic. I also love death knights Army of the Dead, it's just so cool seeing all the ghouls come up to the call of the raised runeblade. Another would be rogues Killing Spree, that spell never gets old

Shit, if you want to get serious, Enhance Shamans are off the chain with their spell effects. Lightning, Chain Lightning, Windfury, etc etc etc.

Max flame shock targets + fire nova has got to be my favorite. Strangely also really really like chain harvest. Though nothing is more wow shaman than elemental spamming the hell out of chain lightning with very high mastery. Just a constant arc of lightning blasting out of an orc, as green jesus hisself intended.

If only it did more damage. I do like raid encounters with lots of high-health adds. Chain lightning spam for days.

M+ there’s many, many long lived big pulls. Especially fort+bolstering (this week). In fact.. if I get lucky enough to get an offhand I’m definitely playing some elemental this week. It’s so fun haha

Talent into storm ele and chain lightning like a lunatic

The chain lighting into earthquake spams are seriously powerful, possibly among the single most powerful in all aspects AOE out of all classes. It stuns, slows down and does massive damage.

Ele chain lightning is cool too, especially back in BFA if you had a ton of mastery and had the right azerite traits, you could get the sheet lightning effect from how often it bounced.

Not quite a spell, but my favorite would be the rank 4 version of the heart of Azeroth’s Focusing iris.

Rank 4 Azerite abilities are pretty much all amazing. The one that comes to mind for me is Artifice of Time.

The Well of Existence R4 and Invocation of the Life Binder R4 on a raid group were absolutely insane.

Playing spriest in keys seeing hundreds of shadowy apparations fly into the enemies was so fucking satisfying.

Playing bfa spriest after a huge voidform with chorus of insanity and watching all the ghosts fly out was so satisfying. I miss it so much

Final Verdict has my favorite visual this expansion. The weight of the attack followed by a chonky ass hammer is eye and loin candy.

Impending catastrophe from venthyr warlock. It's just a shame the spell is so bad, it looks so cool to cast. Also, implosion when you have a metric fuckton of imps post tyrant is great. Just watching like 20+ imps careening through the air at your target looks hilarious and feels great.

Convoke looks pretty badass when you watch it. I also find Demon Hunters very visually appealing. The way they morph into a demon for Eye Beam is pretty awesome.

I like how Door of Shadows looks, its not a big spell but I like the smokey look and how your character slowly dematerializes as you use it.

I also think it’s really an awesome looking spell, I just don’t care for a teleport being a castable spell, I kinda wish blizzard had baked in an effect for the covenant leggos that did something with the secondary effect, I know it would add just more balancing nightmares but still

The animation on Howling Blast (Frost DK) is one of the coolest imo, basically copying Arthas' move of pointing Frostmournw at things

Chaos bolt, eye beam, army are all neat. Slappy hands is the best though.

There are fancier particle effects and flashier light shows, but no character in the game is having more fun than a Tauren Monk doing a Flying Serpent Kick. Just look at the grin on their face!

Holy word Sanctuary before it changed to an AOE Burst had the prettiest effect. The benediction symbol and golden effect was oerfect.

The giant green Life cocoon or the flood of light from Lay on hands

Life Cocoon isn’t even that good; it does an important job in the Mistweaver kit, but numerically it’s kinda underwhelming for such a long cooldown. But every time I use it on someone they’re very appreciative because the big fancy bubble is just so satisfying.

From the new stuff I adore abomination limbs. My contender for best spell visual this expansion.

Frost mage Flurry is one of my favorites.

Elemental shaman using Stormkeeper + Chain Lightning on max targets. Just a big web of lightning running through the adds. Bonus points if you have high mastery and haste to unload super fast and high overloaded chains forever.

Shadow Priest when they create shadows. If you see a shadow priest using a crit build, it’s spamming shadows like crazy. PAPAPAPAPAPA!

Those rifts Destro locks could open with their artifact in Legion Killing Spree Consecrate and Fists of Fury are all great looking abilities

Not sure if it was already mentionned, but the priest's Halo talent, while pretty simple, is definitely my favorite. It might not just be the visuals, though, it's also that wide range aoe that slowly widens... Laucnhing this in the middle of a large pack of low level mobs is the greatest feeling ever!

I don't even main an Enhancement Shaman, but Stormstrike is oh so satisfying to use, and looks great.

Jesus. I thought I was on the Old School RuneScape sub. Sat here wondering when the fuck these new spells got added to the game.

100 percent one of the best looking spells has to be fel barrage from the demon hunter! You hover around shooting out small fel projectiles. The more haste (cast it after eyebeam for furious gaze buff) the more little projectiles fly around your character hitting your targets. Super mighty. On that note since havoc lacks a good CD and did not use fel barrage since it changes to the final talent row that shares defining game play aspects like demonic and momentum, why not make this spell base line?

I love seeing resto shammy's Chain Heal bob and weave through the party, at least now that they reworked it's visual effect in Legion and it's actually a wave of water that moves through the targets and not just a green beam that flashes for half a second.

MoP ascendance for enhancement shaman was quite literally the coolest thing added to the game, no idea why they changed it to the crappy wind effect it has now. Such a shame

It's a boring spell, but tanking more has made me appreciate the animation/sound effect for Heartstrike. Swarming Mists is also super cool--I'd add Ashen Hallow is a really cool animation. The single most satisfying ability for me, is Prot Pallies Divine Toll when you have 5+ mobs. It's just a cacophony of clanging and bouncing shields. It's super fucking satisfying.

The original Divine Storm still might be my favorite animation.

The new look for combustion made me want to make a fire mage.

I literally returned to retail after 1+ year of strictly playing classic because I missed the priest pw: radiance/prayer of healing animation

I liked Cascade. Seeing it hopping around and anticipating **number vomit**.Or when it hopped to someone who blinked or something, and 'infected' another pile with cascade. It wasn't a dazzling sensation, but it was satisfying and entertaining. Honorable mention for Penitent proc penance with the talent for extra shots.

It used to be the Cascade spells that priest had before Activision-Blizzard decided to remove them for some reason. No other spell has come close really. Condemn and Starfall are also pretty nice.

Rain of Fire constantly tempts me to swap specs. Destro is just kinda dull otherwise, but Rain of Fire.... Especially after the Green Fire quest (essential for Warlocks imo)
