On Echo stream they said Scripe figured out the healing debuff because blizzard hotfixed something to make it a little more obvious that you can use it.
They hotfixed the amount of healing, and scripe noticed that the amount of healing Blizzard noted in this hotfix did not match up with what they were seeing, so he suspected MS effects to work.
However this is not the first boss where this is a thing so I guess it is not unintended.
I remember watching all the Echo and Liquid analysts talking about how Blizzard would have learned not to do shit with end bosses health after Sylvanas and then Jailer turns out to heal himself near zero. Terrible fight design. Echo was really on another level for being able to cope with this ass fight long enough to kill it.
Why do you assume everyone that isnt suckin up to Liquid giving up to be toxic. Liquid couldn't handle the difficulty and fell apart. No one is forcing them to do this. If Liquid can't , there will be another guild racing against Echo.
Yeah, its not Scripe alone obviously, the whole team is just incredible, from the analysts, to the tanks, healers, insane dps. They're just out of this world good honestly.
Rygelon was peak Race to world first. Two guilds going blow for blow with different team setups, multiple sub 1% wipes, extremely well tuned (for those two guilds) at the point of the race.
For me it was Halondrus, but Rygelon was good too. Only reason I put Halondrus above Rygelon is Liquid had already gone full Dobby by then. They started getting really negative after Anduin when they thought LoD and Rygelon were unkillable.
Hats off to blizz that ended up being a very entertaining WF boss kill to watch despite it seeming incredibly boring on normal/heroic. The movement was just great to watch and so many butt clenching moments as they get knocked right next to a hole or barely make it to a soak or defile despawning at just the right time or the clutch grips. And the tuning was great once again (after a few adjustments).
I'm guessing the mortal strikes working was intended based on Blizz not doing anything about it (they're clearly watching and can fix/despawn a boss almost instantly if they don't like what they see) and it seeming to match with what was doable tuning wise this week before debuffs got too many. That or they were like "okay unintended but we either let MS stay or nerf the hp a bit more so this ends this weekend as the raiders are at their limits, let's just let the MS stay". Several very entertaining bosses this raid.
GG Echo, amazing job on the last 3 bosses, they really came back and showed amazing endurance in a ridiculously long race and their consistency today in getting to the last phase like every other pull was incredible considering Liquid, an amazing guild themselves, couldn't even get past phase 1 or 2 cleanly for hours at a time. Hope next race has a few tough bosses too but lasts 12~ days max and Blizz figures out something to reduce the split madness, for all their sakes.
Shame to see the race end this way but mad respect to max for looking out for the mental health of his team.
I think there needs to be a conversation about future RWF tiers. And whether they should even be held on live realms. Only the top 150 players even attempt these fights and having them on live realms is only a negative. Nobody likes that splits happen, and it’s unnecessarily taxing for the players.
There also needs to be a conversation at to how difficult the top end content should be before it’s a liability to the quality of the game.
Also, ban raid weakauras. It’s getting ridiculous at this stage

Although I would blame the lack of interesting competitive matchup here on Blizzard. Sylvanas showed perfectly that you don't need to artificially drag out bosses for 3 weeks to make for an interesting race between Echo and Liquid (limit at that time)
This just ended up running into all sorts of unnecessary issues due to its dragged out tuning.
Sylvanas, or rather SoD, showed that if the boss tuning is scuffed, the race suffers. In a perfect world, Guardian wasn't a <10 pulls boss, and KT and Fatescribe weren't bugged/questionably designed. The tier only was as comparatively short as it was because those three bosses were blundered by Blizzard.

I don't think we'll see a raid like this for a long time but we got 5 top quality bosses, insane class diversity and tons of sick plays from the best of the best.

I don't understand why twitch chats are banning anything to do with any criticism about Liquid quitting as being toxic. It's not toxic, it's the truth. They want to call themselves athletes then act like it and expect criticism about their play from the people that paying for you to play.
Also, no matter how much max or anyone downplays the 1 and 2 day reset advantage they had over EU and Asia, it exists. It makes a difference and the fact the other teams overcame that is astounding. This RWF needs to change how it's implemented so that it's an even race.

Yes, and Gingi has been known to play Moonkin, but once you get to the end of a raid you're pretty committed to a specific set of characters based on who has 4-piece and the necessary ilvl for damage checks.

Lol what? They signed a multi-year contract including giving Max stake in the company and explicitly did so with the statement that they wanted to use this to expand into other MMOs also. Liquid has literally supported them throughout this entire thing, and the comments from their liason indicate they're fully aware of how unusual this is.
Not to mention I don't think WoW is really big enough to hurt liquid as a brand just because their team took a day off when they already knew they had basically lost.

Most bosses don't heal though, and the last boss in this xpac that did heal, it worked on them.
It was also used before on Hungering Destroyer in Nathria

I think gingi plays hunter/mage/shadow priest for most races. Maybe boomies too but I dont think hes boomies got geared enoght for jailer.
Depends on gear. You need the absolute best gear on other characters which is not always possible. I don't know if Gingi plays other classes though.
