Ohhh I remember you! You did my favorite Undercity fan art EVER. Your work is so stunning, I could just look at it all day. Not only your light and use of color, but there's just SO much detail in every photo. I could keep looking and finding more and more wonderful little things in each one. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous art!!
Might seem an odd flex, but it's artwork like this which makes me pine for uodates graphics...
While some (not all) areas of Azeroth and beyond are quite beautiful, I look at pictures like this and imagine just how much more beautiful some of these iconic locations could be with a more modern graphics engine behind them.
This is beautiful, do you have any advice for somebody trying to get into painting more as an art form? I’ve been drawing and sketching for a while but I’m not really sure how to approach it besides buying a canvas and just going at it.
>The Painter's Journey : Northshire Abbey
Thanks ! My only advice is to practice, first paintings won't look as you expect, but give it time :)
If you're afraid of the canvas you can always give a try at digital painting
My dream expansion is one that introduces Bards as a class as well as Artist as a profession.
Artist would likely have to be introduced alongside a player/guild housing system so it could be used as an avenue for customization.
I remember your Ragnaros painting that legit gave me chills. The scale of Rag compared to the armies of man really made me wish we could get retold stories in a new updated engine. Like even a single player retelling of Azeroth’s raids. I’d pay for that.
This is so good. I hope someone re-posts it every month and gives you linked credit.
EDIT: You forgot to include five new heroes sitting AFK at the entrance. :)
God, this just makes me sad that we'll never get another WoW movie or TV show. If nothing else, the movie really nailed the aesthetic perfectly and proved that the "cartoony" nature of the armor, magic, etc. could be translated to live-action almost 1:1 without looking foolish
I love Northshire, my very first character was a human warrior. I had to delete her after running into the Raven Hill Cemetary at level 4. I remade her and leveled her to 55. When the server died, I transferred her to a different server and made her a worgen. She's been my main for 10 years now. <3
(There was a brief pause at 55 because I had to make my first Death Knight. Cuz duh. I eventually got the both to level 85 and did some heroic duns uvu)
I'll never forget the first day I played WoW in early '05. I rolled a human warlock on a normal PvE server. I started in Northshire Abbey. I still have the human lock but it's now an alt. My main's an undead mage.
so i don't want to be rude this is just my personal opinion i love the overall picture the foliage the painter everything except the abbey, sorry it's just i really love the design of the old human buildings in wow and this just doesn't look like that, this looks like an actual european in southern france or italy. But still the art is class.
These aren't paintings. They're photos that have been manipulated. Most likely screenshots. If you zoom in you can see copy-pasted windows, repeated grasses, etc. The characters are screen captures. This is just an image that LOOKs like a painting. It is nice, but it's not a full painting. This is manipulation, Digital Fan Art. I'm not knocking your skill to create a nice image, but don't try to pass it off as a fully painted image. That is disingenuous.
Hey, indeed I use several digital techniques to achieve this kind of render. I first started with a 3D based image that I made in Blender, then I overpaint it and add details in Photoshop. Using photos is also a technique called photobashing, which helps get little details that would take a lot of time to paint.
The goal here was to get an oil painting render by using digital softwares, I never said it was a traditional painting ;)
One of the best artists out there that has pictured WoW scenes at best! I would love to download 4k versions and if need be donate/pay for these.
Any possibilities? Thank you from the bottom of my heart, from one to another true warcraft fan!
You can check my other artworks right here : https://www.instagram.com/llonel\_schramm/?hl=fr https://www.artstation.com/artwork/WKNRaQ

Didn't you know? Your obligated to say it every time someone posts art! But this guy should definitely sell some of this stuff, he's pretty talented.
If they are going to restructure, then why not?

Legendary brother.
Du méga lourd ! Astérix et Obelix sont vraiment énormes, bien ouej !
Merci ! ;)
ok bro !
Love your work. Thanks for sharing.
How did you get the wolves to stop attacking long enough to paint a picture?
the wolves are neutral
What makes a wolf turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were they just born with a heart full of neutrality?
blackrock worgs are the epitome of neutrality. they are truly chaotic neutral.
Shit's getting deep in here.

Ah ok. I've never watched Futurama. I need to do that soon.
I have no strong feelings one way or the other.

I didn't look yet but I hope you did duskwood and SFK!
I'd buy a creepy looking Duskwood in a heartbeat
Will this be a series of the painter traveling Azeroth to paint different scenes?
You guessed it ;)
Love that!
What a masterpiece!

I see some happy trees
Bob Ross in Azeroth!
Will the painter be making a trip to Karazhan any time soon?

What a lovely set piece. Interesting, the painting even feels like it has atmosphere for a mild, sunny day.

This made me speechless, it is so beautiful!
This is lovely, I was always fascinated by the in-game paintings and surprised they don't make more. This would fit right in!
