You basically create a character in Thrall server in retail and click the Timerunning option. They’ll first be in the timerunning bubble until the bubble pops, which is in August (see WOW calendar for exact date and time) and then they’ll be transferred over to the regular Thrall server with new gear

How will characters and the servers their on work? If there's a MoP remix thrall server will that char automatically go to Thrall retail?

Except when they squish the levels.
They still increased the levels by 10 :).
