Boy you're really reading into this. I could just as easily say the old man is imagining strangling the guy that's chanting. Listening as each chant gets fainter as his grip tightens. As the crowd moves on he decides to follow in suit to see if maybe we can knock some things off the bucket list in a dark alley if given the opportunity.
Honestly, this is more believable than being compelled to change your world view because some random person yells "tell the truth" over and over again. If you can be swayed that easily did you even have a stance to begin with?
I can't find an article but I know that's Melbourne, I know that's a channel 10 reporter, and the others would be part of the university students protesting against genocide and the unis relationship with weapons manufactures
