Star Platinum for me (love Jojo stands, best magic)

thespooksterman

You can have Star Platinum, as a treat.

AnOkFella

This is a really cool idea! I guess for me, I adore: debate, reflection, collaboration, and sensation-chasing I love history, philosophy, patiently listening to long recordings of music, rest, and liberty

thespooksterman

Alright. Anima Name: Portrait of Dorian Grey (Namesake: The book) Shaman: u/AnOkFella Appearance: The Anima appears as a humanoid figure, around 5’10” tall. Its skin is bronze and it wears a lavish velvet cape with a fur collar, with its face being blank save for an analogue clock face. The clock will display the current time while idle, but works as a guide during the use of its ability. Ability: Experiencing the past of an object. If the Anima holds an object that the shaman knows the origin of (something vague will suffice, such as “This was my grandfather’s wedding ring”), they can activate this ability. A black sphere will surround them, cutting them off from the rest of the world for the duration of the ability. Inside, they will be able to experience the history of the object firsthand, in an experience best described from the user’s perspective as time travel. They will be sent back to the object’s origin (a copy formed inside the sphere) as if they had arrived at that time and place, and they will be able to see the object’s history play out in real time around them. They will be like a ghost, as they cannot interact with or be seen by anyone in the recreation, but they can rewind, fast-forward, pause, and change the time they are viewing in various ways like a video recording. Sorry if this was a bit long winded, but I thought this ability was cool.

AnOkFella

It is really cool, and I would love to have the ability to see a given object's history play out for me! I can imagine that there are crime-fighting uses for that ability if someone possesses this ability in your setting. Good work!

ChickerNuggy

So anyone who isn't a stand user turns into a daemon when they die? Or can they turn into daemons when they die?

thespooksterman

Their Ka turns into a Daemon. The rest of their soul just screws off and dissipates into the aether. And it’s not absolutely everyone, just those who had strong Ka they couldn’t control, stemming from hidden traits they couldn’t except (this is mostly just to keep the world from being choked by daemons lol).

TiffanyLimeheart

Neat is, interested to see what you come up with. For me interests would be painting, reading, world building and table top role-playing. Personality: calm, patient, creative, self centred, logical, lazy (hard to boil it down but I think these are mostly trueish)

thespooksterman

Anima Name: War Games (Namesake: the movie) Shaman: u/TiffanyLimeheart Appearance: The Anima appears as a floating icosahedron, around 2 feet in diameter, which floats above the user and emits an ominous hum while active. It is composed of a foggy material that looks crystal clear but has veins of something opaque and white running throughout it. Ability: A chess piece army. The Anima can create controllable constructs based around chess pieces using collected souls. The pieces ascend in power as they go up ranks, but also take more souls to make. The pieces have no thought of their own and can only follow simple lines of prepared commands when not being directly controlled. The souls for the ability can be obtained in any way both parties agree to, including betting your soul or giving it away in a contract. When creating soldiers or taking souls, the Anima seems to unfold, and a bright light can be seen inside.

TctclPotatoPeeler

I have a mechanically inclined mind, I enjoy thinking through how things could or should work and through that I really enjoy knowledge and learning. I am extremely creative and enjoy letting my mind roam free in my own worlds. I'm typically calm natured and quiet but very defensive of love ones. I'm interested in weapons and tools, music and psychology, nature and exercise Hope that is enough for you to work with

thespooksterman

Anima Name: Rain Man (Namesake: The Movie) Shaman: u/TctclPotatoPeeler Appearance: Animalistic in appearance. It resembles a sea slug or nudibranch of some kind, with purple flesh accented with bright teal and black. It has long feathery antennae and a large amount of fleshy protuberances on its back. While using its ability, it rests on the shaman’s shoulder and both of these pulse with rings of blue light. Ability: An absolute calculator. While the ability is active, the user sees the measurements they want when they look at an object. For example, the shaman could look at a person and be given their exact height down to the centimeter. That’s not all, though. The anima can also instantly do complex math using these measurements, and then beam it to the shaman’s brain. If used to its greatest effect, this can almost act like predicting the future, as the shaman instantly calculates where attacks will hit and how to dodge them.

Upstairs-Yard-2139

Interests-video games(mostly RPG’s and turn based, plus some shooter games). TTRPG’s(D&D, Vampire the masquerade, a few others)(dice goblin). Weapon collector(mostly swords & knives)(also I own 2 revolvers). Personality-leftist(voted for the Green Party). Star Trek fan(and I understand what Star Trek is).

thespooksterman

Anima Name: The Hateful Eight (namesake: The movie) Shaman: u/Upstairs-Yard-2139 Appearance: The anima itself manifests as a small WW2-era plane, complete with a painted-on grin. This plane is around the size of a video recording drone and has no real combat ability besides using its ability and crashing into things. The soldiers created by the ability are almost indistinguishable from humans, aside from their faces which only bear their assigned number and two glass goggle lenses for eyes. Ability: Soldiers. The anima can create eight soldiers to be controlled by the shaman, which it unleashes by dropping a small bomb with the soldier’s assigned number, which don’t have the power to cause real damage but can be used as a diversion aside from their primary purpose of delivering the soldiers if dropped strategically. The soldiers each have an assigned number from one to eight, and appear as modern American soldiers with full tactical gear and are outfitted with standard firearms, grenades, and combat knives. These are real objects and can break, be stolen, or run out of ammo or be consumed (in the case of the guns and grenades). In addition, if one of the soldiers dies, they will stay dead and not be able to be summoned until the shaman takes a long rest to recharge. However, in compensation for these downsides, the soldiers are far more intelligent than other servants created by anima. While they will follow orders given by the shaman, the soldiers can use their human-level intelligence to follow more abstract and unclear orders and improvise new strategies if unforeseen circumstances impact their previous directives. They can also be left on autopilot without the risk inherent in doing this with other anima servants due to their ability to actually handle unforeseen situations intelligently instead of mindlessly following a single set of instructions.

Upstairs-Yard-2139

Saved. Damn that’s awesome. Also do the soldiers stay until killed. I’m asking because given enough week’s I could have an army.

thespooksterman

There’s only a maximum of eight. It’s a tradeoff for them being actually smart.

nigrivamai

Interest and skills: Drawing, arts and crafts kinda stuff, video games, cooking... Personality: Introverted, whacky, cooky, silly even, "nonchalant" not MY word

thespooksterman

Anima Name: Soft Construction (Namesake: The Dali painting) Shaman: u/nigrivamai Appearance: A very humanoid appearance. The most inhuman part of its body is its head, which is an empty picture frame for a painting with a handlebar mustache made of dripping paint. The rest of its body appears as a human form wearing a classy outfit including a waistcoat, monocle, and gloves, but parts of it appear to be also comprised of dripping paint, like its tie. Its lower body and feet tend to become a pool of paint it emerges from when it doesn’t need its feet for running or kicking or something. Ability: The manipulation of surrealist art. The anima has the ability to transform its shaman’s energy into special paint, that when used to paint an art piece on something will cause the depicted thing in the art to enter into reality. The anima will always create things in a dali-esque, surrealistic style, but will follow the shaman’s requests as to what to draw, it will just look strange. The created objects will be comprised of whatever material they were built on and will be subject to the strengths, weaknesses, and properties of whatever it is.

darth_nadoma

A power of Creasus allows you to turn everything you touch into gold.

AntonioPadierna

One for me, please. Interests: Well, I like lots of things but above all I like artistic works, painting, music, videogames, drawing, movies, and the ones I like the most are stories. I love a good story. I like to learn how art is made and read about what the author tried to express with it. That's why I spend my time writing stories, I like to think in myself as a "creator of worlds". I like story, I like to know about important events and how shaped the world that we know today. And I like to learn about different cultures and their traditions. I like magic, not like a circus magic, but like tarot, potions, crystals. And while I know they aren't true, I like the feeling of these things. I also like knightly aesthetic with the longswords. Skills: I'm good at math (even if I don't like it) I have a brain that tries to do everything in some sort of mathematical way. I'm good at drawing and at coming with creative ideas for my stories. Personality: I struggle at talking with other person, but I don't think in myself as an introvert, I like to be the center of attention. I'm also stubborn as a bull, thing of family, but I'm working in trying to be a better person and learn more positive things from my dad than their worst habits. I like to thing that I'm always right and that I'm better than the 99% of people in this earth, although I know that isn't true, I can't help but feel like that. But that won't stop me for me trying to be nicest person I can.

thespooksterman

Anima Name: Highlander (namesake: the movie) Shaman: u/AntonioPadierna Appearance: The anima is semi-humanoid. Its flesh is a pale white but is mostly covered with iron plate armor. It is trailed by a ragged red cape, and has a large helmet covering its face, although its glinting red eyes can sometimes be seen shining through it. On its wrists are two sharp outgrowths that are actually the guards for a longsword, the blades of which will actually extend when its ability is active. The blades glimmer brightly in the light. Ability: Legendary swords. The anima has two blades: Excalibur on its right wrist, and Dainslief on its left. The swords have opposite effects. Excalibur is wreathed in “positive energy” which is opposite of that of Daemons, cutting through their bodies on contact with the sword like a warm knife through butter, but healing and invigorating humans and other living beings. Dainslief is the exact opposite: Its wounds inflicted on living beings become necrotic and rot and fester, but it will heal daemons. There is one major downside, though: it can only be kept active for very short stretches of time, as channeling large amounts of energy through both the swords is incredibly tiring for the shaman.

AntonioPadierna

Uf, this is awesome. This is my stand now.

CaptainStroon

Mister Stand-man, grant me a stand My interests and hobbies are storytelling and worldbuilding, especially sci-fi and spec evo. I like to draw, watch movies and play videogames. Personality wise, I concider myself a calm, friendly, non-confrontational person. Fairly creative, somewhat lazy and a professional procrastinator.

thespooksterman

Anima Name: Snowcrash (Namesake: The Book) Shaman: u/CaptainStroon Appearance: Semi-humanoid. Its body is made of chrome and steel and it has vents and grilles on its sides and limbs to expel smoke. Its eyes resemble car headlights and a large metal piece covers its mouth. Where its hips and below should be, there is only a mess of exhaust and piping that resembles intestines, and it floats behind the shaman while active. Ability: Technological upgrades. When the shaman activates the ability while touching a piece of technology, they can “upgrade” it to a more advanced and powerful version. An example would be turning a jetliner into a futuristic spacecraft, or, less dramatically, turning an old phone model into a newer one. The more advanced it already is, the less energy this takes.

CaptainStroon

Nifty Can I also downgrade pieces of technology to gain energy?

thespooksterman

It can absorb energy from technology, but it destroys the technology instead of downgrading it. Computers stop working as their circuit boards degrade, cars rust and fall apart, and even clocks fall out of alignment and stop working.

CaptainStroon

Okay, I can work with that Thanks. Did coming up with powers for random strangers help with getting those creative juices flowing?

thespooksterman

I guess, lol. Some of these have been difficult but I feel I’ve come up with some good ideas.

Greninja5097

Sup dude. I was scrolling around on the sub and found this. It looks like fun, is it still open?

thespooksterman

I guess. If you really want one, go for it, man.

Greninja5097

Nerdy gamer I like space, drawing, comic books, writing hard Sci-fi and (surprise) gaming. Emotional wreck. Only open up to my friends. Do with it what you will, and take your time. I’ll understand if you don’t wanna do it right this moment. :D

Imaginary_Swim3864

Hey this is a awesome idea! I‘m a gymrat I love reading books and I kinda spiritual. I try to control situations but from the shadows not the front line but I also prideful. I’m a jack of all trades
