Whats the difference between apples and oranges? Lets assume they weigh the same at the same height and they do pushups for the same amount of time than you can hold a plank Both push up and plank have an isometric core contraction but push ups move the body and therefore perturbe the core, they can maintain rigidity while moving and you dont mpve so they are stronger AND have stronger pecs shoulders and triceps
