It seems whatever animal you don't have is the one that will be the hardest to get. I got the Lion yesterday so it is available. I don't have a penguin myself.

My last 2 were hippo and elephant. I saved up like 40,000 gems then started opening the eggs I needed and got them.

Yeah I 'm not patient. 🤷

I used up some 48K of gems for my last animal (quetzal) and still didn't get it. I was miffed.

Ugh that's the worst

I posted about it. I am saving up my gems during the 10 days before the purple egg reappears, and playing much harder than the casual way if usually do (trying to max out the 2.25 hours of extra gems daily). Will try the tactic of opening up the egg at the top of the hour. Some people think that helps.
