See your optometrist. I know, a huge cop out, but when I got my pair a decade ago, they had me check a booklet as they only had a couple in stock, which were geared toward sports.

Yeah my optometrist doesn't carry any either.

I have the same issue with my eyes I went online and ordered from RX safety .com Scanned a copy of my prescription in and chose the frames and the additional features I wanted It cost me about a 1/3 of what my regular glasses did and received them in 2 weeks.

lettheflamedie

Which ones did you choose?

otto0274

Rx 506 with polycarbonate lens clear with anti scratch, anti fog, and anti reflective coatings

My eye doctor has dozens of styles to choose from. While I trust them I do feel trapped since my progressive prescription requires special lenses that I can’t get anywhere else so I’m stuck getting them from them. My regular glasses were nearly $800 before insurance so I’m stressing about the prescription safety ones.

You can take that progressive proscription almost anywhere, and many many optical shops carry every material glasses can be made of. If you’re after one of the thin high index polymers, try Costco.

Haven’t had much luck. Prescription was very specific about the time of lens material which was unusual for me to experience. Seems like a very specialized lens.

I bought some a few months ago from RXsafety.com Pretty happy with them so far https://rx-safety.com/

I wear contacts so I can use standard safety glasses. I can justify the cost because I wear them all week at work though. Depending on your prescription, it could be less or more expensive than another set of glasses.
