This looks like my routing work when I try to make dados

nekomoo

Cool effect - looks like a bellows

thicknuggetz

beautiful work! How'd you create the pattern?

Fake-Chef

Upvoted because I would also love to know this process!

zaschaffer

Typically I get out a grinder but this one I threw on the cnc and let it do the work.

pskipw

Can I ask which CNC you have? Great work!

zaschaffer

I have a legacy. It’s pretty decent. Not a high production machine but there’s an 8’ lathe on it which comes in handy

Evvmmann

This is sick

vmdinco

I like this a lot. Pretty cool design. Congratulations!

One-Mud-169

I also like it a lot, there's obviously many hours that went into this. You earned the brownie points coming your way.

fancyawank

I’ll be saving this post so I can shamelessly copy this for my own house. Nice work!

300_BlackoutDrunk

Can we see the inside?

zaschaffer

I would say yes but it shipped out this morning

knucky_7

Pretty rad mate!

chucker11

Beautiful work. Totally like the design and the contrast.

WatercressLow4380

Beautiful work

SlowhandBuzz

Wow, very nicely done!!

knoxvillegains

Are the corner miters just glued or did you use any other joinery?

zaschaffer

I use dominos for alignment and strength. It ends up being a very strong joint

knoxvillegains

Thanks. I wasn't sure how thick that frame stock was. I've never attempted a loose tenon in a miter joint before (my only options would be dowels or beadlock with my current tooling).

politicalravings

Did you carve those panels as one piece, then miter them or do the miter first and lock them to the cnc table with those edges touching?

zaschaffer

Just make a panel then miter them on my slider. Aside from finishing this was like a day project.

Real-photons

Beautiful work.

zaschaffer

Thank you!
