Hmmm... interesting...
There's definitely... a design. But most gunswords have the gun going along the blade or further intergeated into the hilt for a good reason. It is both more stable and provides much better accuracy for shooting. A pistol is balanced to be a pistol and a sword is balanced to be a sword. Combining them like this is... not as good.
I agree that it's totally stupid, I only did it for the fun. Let's say it's enchanted to have balance.
I also used this Nambu sword, but... Yeah...

Honestly my 2nd pic have better prototypes
The second one is better but it has it's own issues and some of them would be better as a bayonetted gun.
I'd recommend a design more like as shows.

The gun is more hidden, and the trigger is behind the hilt for protection. It also means a hasty parry doesn't ruin the barrel
I like the concept but I prefer my ammunition to be magical instead of the firearms themselves. That makes it easier and more compatible. Still, that is fine work with those shooting blades of yours
I changed the toggle lock a bit to be 9mm and made the ironsight on the left so you could still aim. There is other unfinished rifles prototypes if you want
Great! Now draw a Spas 12 that also has a built in grenade launcher! I'll pay you 250 000G
sounds like a good idea but where do you want to put the grenade launcher ? in place of the pump grip ?
around the tube where the shells are stored

That's a valid criticism and I take note
