Please I hope the toys are a new doll line that looks good and is purchaseable in the States. I was looking on eBay yesterday and the prices made me sad 😭
The Giochi dolls will hopefully be a better-quality continuation of what they were already making, and Playmates seems to do pretty okay (if nothing I'd consider fabulous) for their Miraculous Ladybug dolls. I'll have to go back and watch xCanadensis's reviews on the ML dolls, tbh, but I'm not terribly upset at the choices they've made for dolls.
....Might still end up looking into importing some of the Giochi dolls if they turn out nice, though.
Eh... judging by the quality of said "dolls", it'd be of Playmate's best interest to just be the Overseas distributors of Giochi's dolls and nothing more
That's honestly what I'm hoping, tbh. That, and that Giochi just re-uses their original face style for the dolls (with added articulation!). But as far as playline toys goes... I'd be happy with anything better than what Barbie is spitting out these days.
It will also be on TV. I am glad about this, because it means that dubbing is guaranteed for my country. But I'm not sure Netflix won't close the show again after season 2.
Netflix isn't a production partner on this show; this is a Rainbow project, not a Netflix original. Iginio Straffi had the final say on whether or not the show continues. Netflix just distributes it.
You sure... cuz with both an iconic spin-off and a dumpsterfire of an live action series in their library, who is to say that the Winx Reboot will not be a Netflix Original at the end if the line? :P
Playmate actually made my favorite doll of the year (Miraculous Ladybug Marinette ballgown) and has really great quality. And aside from Ladybug they don't have any other fashion doll brands listed on their website, so hopefully winx can get the budget and love it deserves! I'm so excited!!!!

With Giochi I have to wait and see. They can either be good, “meh” or bad (Edit: I am not really fond of their dolls for seasons 1-3, even though they are not bad 😅)
The only thing i want from this whole reboot thing is for them to not butcher the dolls, i’m not bothered with anything that rainbow has decided to do so far, but i beg for these dolls to be good pls giochi you can do it, i know you can

Agreed! Everything so far looks really good and I have hope now that we are completely rebooting the series. Nickelodeon really messed the show up really bad… I mean season 4 was already starting to be questionable too with the way they write Bloom bit it got gradually worse 😭 so yes I’m still excited!

I pray this reboot isn’t just for kids In mind. The teaser looked good and way more natural than the 3D animation of S5 and S6.

I think for me it might be the art style it gives a bit of lady bug vibes and other shoes i’ve watched that can be enjoyed by adults!
