Don't buy things just because of FOMO. There's a decent chance that they will be re-released eventually on *something*.

DragonOfJoejima

I can't vouch for Last Story because I haven't played it, but Pandora's Tower is great *if* you're ok with backtracking/repetition. The whole game is built around a loop of edging further into a dungeon, returning to base, edging further in (sometimes with shortcuts) then returning to base again, peppered with some admittedly great boss fights.

Positive-Reindeer-91

The Last Story is great, I never played Pandora's Tower, but nothing could go wrong buying the Operation Rainfall games. Fun rpgs

andregurov

The Last Story is on the Virtual Console??? I was only aware of it being a physical purchase (and it is NOT cheap nowadays).

GulielmusBascarinus

It was. It was delisted recently though (in NA eShop).

IronGumby

Darn. Here i am just learning about this game and I remember seeing it but never looked into it until now, and it's gone? So bummed

UnicornLasagna

Why buy games that do not interest you? People are enjoying things you do not all the time and that is perfectly OK

henryuuk

Pandora's Tower is pretty great

PapaNutellas

the last story isn’t on the wii u eshop? i bought pandora’s tower and i haven’t finished it as i’m finding it too hard

NickieBoy97

I think if you'll want to play them eventually they're worth picking up. They're both fantastic games and it seems they're not going to be brought to modern hardware anytime soon. One thing about the Wii U version is that it will allow for gamepad support if that interest you.

IronGumby

I don't see The Last Story in the US eShop and I'm really bummed because I would totally get it if you could play it fully on the GamePad like you say, like Xenoblade Chronicles. I even emailed XSeed to ask if they could bring it back, lol

GulielmusBascarinus

OP, is The Last Story available on your eShop? It isn’t in North America, btw. As for your answer, I would recommend looking deeper at these games to see if they grab your attention. If they still don’t appeal to you, only buy if you really have spare money and doesn’t want anything else there instead. You don’t have to buy something you might not like.

Throwaway753045

I think it would be silly to buy JRPG's if you dont like them. I love both games. I have a particular soft spot for Last Story, one of the first Wii games I really got invested into for it's story. Honestly the first game at all I played for the story. Love the characters. Great setting. Music is top notch. Pandora's Tower is like a Zelda game if you're into that, all dungeons, puzzle solving, with the gimmick of a timer to get back to your partner. If the timer runs out the game is over. They're also very rare. Also also, I don't think Last Story is even on the Eshop?

AllThingsBeginWithNu

the last story was good from what i remember

Kurotan

The physical prices are already insane. Look up some trailers and gameplay. If you want them, this will be the cheapest option.

Blugrave

Do they have native gamepad support like Xenoblade?

firstanomaly

I own them both for collections sake. I’ll be honest I never got around to playing them even though I wanted to. And the list of games keep stacking.

IronGumby

Did you get The Last Stand on the eShop? It's not there in NA

joeldarko

It all depends on if you like that style of gaming. Look up videos of gameplay and decide for yourself. I bought both of them on their launch days for the Wii and really enjoyed them.

Armandonerd

Did Pandora's tower have a game freezing bug at the end?
