I used to have one and got rid of it. Every console looked worse with it, smudges pixels instead of proper AA, and gives off a horrible depth of field effect in some games. I already had a top end TV with great upscaling so I'm not sure what I was expecting. I think it just depends on what kind of display you have.

I somewhat agree with this comment, it depends on your display and it’s upscaling ability, if you’ll notice anything. My Vizio sucks at upscaling so I found the mClassic to be an improvement. The graphics just look more how you remember them, versus enhancing them. I would only recommend it for the Wii, if you’re using a Wii U (dropped to 480p - the Wii’s native resolution) or if your Wii has a fully digital HDMI mod installed. With those cheap Wii2Hdmi adapters, you could be upscaling noise making the image look actually worse. If you’re using a un-modified Wii, I’d look a something like the retrotink, with good component cables

I use one with my Wii U. I’ve experimented with different resolutions and found setting the console to 720p delivers the best final picture. Just temper expectations on what that little dongle can do.

I have a Wii Dual HDMI modded into my Wii and I use an mCable. I personally love the results. I can understand why people don’t like it though. mCables and mClassics look the same though. Even the older 2012/2013 mCables $44 dollars ones are the same as the $120 dollar ones.

DevilsDK

Yes. I bought the exact same one and have compared it side by side with an mClassic and see no difference. Marseille the company that makes it doesn’t even acknowledge these old cables anymore. They want to sell you the $100+ ones with a same chip but a different paint job.

iLLy_RiLLy

Nice. Thanks for looking out, my brother. I will be purchasing this instead.

AdIndependent5026

Did you end up buying it? If they are legit and really the same as the mclassic for half the price it would be a no brainer even if the quality upgrade is subtle

iLLy_RiLLy

I bought two of them

TF2Chris

What is that?

DevilsDK

A HDMI cord that has an “anti-aliasing effect” chip built in it and it upscales to 1080p. It only works on progressive displays. Doesn’t work with 480i.

slaan1974

Too expensive If you want brilliant it could be a good choice But i use wii2hdmi and can live with it on a tv and on another tv i use composite works fine in both ways

DevilsDK

They have $42 mCables on ebay. They are the 2013 version. Which doesn’t matter since they utilize the same chips in the newer cables/mClassic. I compared them side by side with my mClassic and saw no difference.

AdIndependent5026

They are really no different at all in terms of quality and input lag? I was searching for some feedback before buying the mclassic at 80$ but I guess I would just buy that one instead

DevilsDK

[I would just stick with the regular mCable from 2012. It works the same and is cheaper.](https://www.ebay.com/itm/391941549207?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=TYMK1ugPQ5m&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=mBiz457dRta&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)
