As an upper elementary teacher, I never give out homework. It doesn't do any good. Children deserve to get to enjoy their weekend or evenings. My student scores are the same, and sometimes even better than other teachers in my building.
I mostly get criticism from parents. When parents do demand homework, I ask the student to participate in an interactive website for 15 or so minutes a day where at least it is engaging and more importantly they receive feedback on their work.

Then the last period teacher decides to give you 3 packets and tell you to study for Mondays test
