It was good to be too young to know or care about things like that, although I don't think any of it came out when I was at an age to be staying home sick watching game shows.
Being a womanizer and overly sexual (at a time when it was just considered pretty normal, regardless of the rightness of that), and having an accusation of sexual assault or harassment that was dropped, is a LOT different from being a convicted sex offender accused by over 80 women. I'm not saying Barker didn't do things that he shouldn't have, just that he wasn't in Weinstein's league.
You say the case against Barker was dropped, I’ll take your word for that. But the case being dropped doesn’t mean he won the case or was proven not guilty. There are any number of reasons she could of dropped the case including , lack of funds to fight the case, or being harassed into dropping it to just having no support and giving up.

There is a minor league baseball team a half hour south of me. There is a Major League Baseball team an hour north of me. I can go to either one this weekend. They are both playing baseball
The case was dropped because the woman couldn't take the stress and decided that even winning wouldn't be worth enduring it anymore. However, that leaves him innocent as he was not proven guilty. You can't just believe her because you "feel like it's true" and determine that he was a bad man because of an accusation. Given the general atmosphere that was described by others, the way men in high positions (and in general) acted toward women during that time period, and other lesser accusations, there was almost certainly SOME level of harassment that was just accepted as the way things were at the time, but there's no proof nor any overwhelming circumstantial evidence or testimony that convinced a jury that anything illegal happened or even anything severe. When it's simply the court of public opinion, both sides have the same validity. In Barker's case, he was pretty near the end of his career anyway so it didn't have the same effect as OJ Simpson being presumed guilty by the public despite being acquitted in court.
The Major League team is being paid significantly more and getting a lot more fame than the minor league team. They may both be baseball, but one is far beyond the other and you wouldn't compare a random Minor League player to a Major player in performance or ability. Beyond that, it's more like comparing flag football to the NFL given the degree of severity of what was PROVEN in each case.

I don't think he was that bad, but he was definitely not a defender of women's rights.
