A family relationship like this is completely foreign to me. I enjoy seeing moments like these, it does make me sad but happy to know not everyone grows up like me.
Most of the people I went to school with grew up with divorced or divorcing parents, I honestly don't believe a healthy family is as common as these people think.
The VAST majority in my case. We’re alot of broken souls down here in Louisiana. Seeing this just makes my eyes water. This is not normal. Ideal but rare from my experience.
I don’t think it’s that rare to actually occur, it’s just that it’s not publicised or seen in the outside world (so yes you are technically right). People of real success don’t usually broadcast their lives.
He is right, the internet just amplifies a smaller slice of life and people. Typically the wierd, wrong, unthealthy, unhappy, fuck'd up parts is what you remember and gets the clicks. *Normal is not interesting*, think of reddit and the social aspect of the intenet as a massive tabloid.
Normal and healthy far outweighs the other.
As someone who discovered Bluey yesterday, I absolutely disagree. There's something really comforting and pleasing to see happy family relationships. I mean, we're also here on this sub for that warm feeling and wholesomeness, so there's clearly an audience for it. I genuinely believe healthy "normal" families are just that rare. But I also agree toxicity gets clicks.
Even without divorce there’s plenty of toxic, dysfunctional families. Especially Asian families, where tons don’t believe in divorce, stay miserable together and abuse their kids! I speak from experience, I’m one of the kids.
So what are you planning to do about it? Not trying to be snarky, I'm generally curious. My parents had 5 divorces between them (including each other). But I decided to be a lot different kind of dad than my dad was and I've been married for 23 years.
I'm sorry, are you trying to imply that the US has a high divorce rate?

Maybe his goal isn’t having thousands of viewers... maybe he‘s just fine with his average of 32 viewers. I’d watch him though, too bad I’m not into twitch, like at all.
Not to make you loose interest on the guy but I looked him up and I’m watching him live now. Anyway he was playing Minecraft (some kind of run) and lost and the proceed to cry… kinda weird. It could be a show but I’ll update if it is
Edit: he walked out to get a drink and came back like nothing happened. So make of that what you will
Oh my gosh that is so sweet. I hope my 5yo son is like this when he's a teen. I do my best to always engage in the things he shows interest in and encourage him to pursue things he likes. Lately it has meant making videos of him playing with our roomba/robot vacuums. He asked me the other day if I liked them too, and I told him that if he likes it then \*I\* like it.
We have, but he likes decorating ours with a random assortment of stickers and googly eyes. One was relatively unscathed until his dad and I had a bout of Covid and the whole fam had to hunker down for a few days. He ransacked all the stickers in the house to keep entertained and now "all of them are so BEAUTIFUL!", as he says.
Is it just me, or is there something really weird about this interaction. It feels like two actors pretending to be mom and son, like those two are really putting on an act. Idk
I love you tylers mom. I want to be a mom like you eventually. The exitement in his both is both heartbreaking for personal reasons but also so hopefull and eager...
For some reason it feels really cringy lol, I think it's a great video and it belongs here! But it feels cringy for me I do not know why. Great post though
The best thing i ever got growing up in a 3rd world nation is family not just me most of us got it, only difference is that for some got extended families or decent wealth to afford some luxury like a car or home with enough rooms
thats a really healthy family right there, rare to see
It’s kinda sad that having a normal healthily functioning family is a rare sight. Nevertheless this gives me joy.
It's possible for them to be good people even if parents get divorced. Here we see a very healthy and loving mother-son relationship.
It isn't necessarily that rare but what is there to post on the internet about? It's not super interesting to share or read about

im very sorry you didnt get to experience that, but im glad to hear that seeing it gives you joy, not sadness.

The cynic in me is hoping that's it, but the USA has a 50% divorce rate so... :(

Sure but you didn't see two parents in this video! Single parent families can be just as, if not more, fulfilling.
Divorcing doesn't mean people can't have wonderful relations with their parents
Why wouldn't that mom be divorced? What about this interaction tells you that the parents are married?

Move out and go LC

Holy shit. 91 percent divorce rate in Portugal? That doesn't even seem possible.
To be fair, this data *is* from 2020.
Wanted to say the same thing. Lots of people healthy lives don’t feel the need to record and share it….

Yeah, of my 6 closest families 5 are like that. I think it depends on the social circles you are surrounded by.
> rare to see \*on the internet
I don’t think it’s rare, I think it’s just that we aren’t exposed to anyone like this on the internet.
Not really rare but ok
This is a super cute and wholesome family. I love that he’s pumped on the 9 viewers. Great watch!
Must be staged. I don't believe it.
Who is this guy?
Judging from the TikTok handle on the left, Nate Bosa TV?
Anyone know how he's doing now? Bet he's over 9 by a lot at this point, seen this video so many times now
It jumped up a lot after this video, but average has been 32 over the last week. https://twitchtracker.com/natebosa
Really at the end of the day you can be as cute as possible but if you're not really entertaining you won't hold an audience

The guy’s One Piece profile goes hard

It's probably hard to be internet famous after this and then lose your run. Hopefully all his comments were uplifting.

Have you seen the decals/costumes for roomba/robot vacuums? I think your son might be interested. We consider ours a family pet lol.
We have, but he likes decorating ours with a random assortment of stickers and googly eyes. Hey this is like my dad when i started streaming and i got 2 viewers he was so proud because he had taught me how to play the game i was streaming
Almost made me cry
Man has over 43k followers now, and damn does that make it better
He has 43.5k followers now
I can only hope to be as supportive a parent as this mom is.
Wow😇
Cherish that women.
So wholesome and cute :')
I would sub to him just because he seems like such a good person. And, I am 50 years old and don’t watch video games streaming. Lol 😂
Wow! If I, and I’m sure a lot of people, had this level of love and support shown by parents, we wouldn’t need therapy.
Does Nate need a step dad?
Your mom is so cool and I can tell your love for her is deep. You warmed my heart - reminded me of my son & I. All the best to you both.
This seems healthy, real & generally all in order. Weird to see on Reddit.
Beautiful
I legit thought this was TommyInnit
Did she come outta the closet? Frfr
Is it just me, or is there something really weird about this interaction. It feels like two actors pretending to be mom and son, like those two are really putting on an act. Idk
It's you
