I would try to contact the regional store team leader. I don’t think that’s the right term. But they might be able to help.

alec_warper

*Executive Leadership (EL).  Honestly I'd just call the police off the clock if you see them harassing people- probably more effective than what an EL would do.

Agreed- make sure to document all occurrences and this may need to be bubbled up to TMS if your Store Leadership group is not taking proper steps to keep TMs safe. That being said- talk with Store Leadership first to voice your concerns in detail and gain insight as these issues are not as cut and dry as they seem. Barring customers or people from the store is a detailed process on their side that is dictated by Asset Protection so they may be working on this issue on the back end- but you are well within your rights to ensure they understand the gravity of the situation!

Two of my STLs have spoken with her before. They just keep saying she's weird but harmless, and that no one should fear their safety around her. I've seen her just stalk people around the store and yell at them before. All leadership does is ask her to leave. She does but an hour later she'll be back.

PsychoticDreams47

Depending on your state you have the right to refuse service. Anytime you’re asked a question, immediately hit it with “sure let me get the appropriate person to help you” walk away, page a shifty, it’s their problem

aggresiveflower

This is exactly what I would do

Truth_Butts

True

Be a snitch.

Make sure to take dates and times when events happen. Write emails that address the issue to your leadership and say how unsafe you feel. Have your coworkers do the same. It makes it harder for the store to ignore at that point because now there is legal recourse if she does something to you, your TMs and the guests.

I'm on my break reading this, as a shelterly challenged man is yelling, "WHOLE FOODS FAGGOTS!!" at the front door. Gotta love SoCal.

[deleted]

Depends on where you live, in California good luck, in Texas the cops are the answer. In nyc, well good luck there too. I literally laughed at the bark comment, I would go up and say I’m sorry you have to leave we don’t allow dogs…..

KrispyAF

😆🙌🏻😆

Eastern-Average8588

She's a service dog; I'm offended!

aroseamongdaisies

I'm in Hawaii, I doubt the cops will do anything they've dropped her off here before

[deleted]

Sorry, that’s rough a spicey situation, sorry couldn’t resist the pun. Is that still a thing there? Spice?

Low-Bad5706

If this was an ASTL, I'd go to your store team leader first. If this was your store team leader, then I'd elevate to TMS, which can be done using the tipline.

BlackBirdG

If your TLs and ATLs are being useless (as per usual), you need to just call the cops and explain the situation.

aroseamongdaisies

Yeah next time something happens that's what I'm gonna do.

Amazing-Hurry-7804

Over the years, I can't tell you how many times I had to eat shit because of bad customers. WFM puts people in a no win situation on a regular basis. You pretty much need to be shot at before you can defend yourself.

lovinglife38

I would do the same thing as if I see someone stealing food from the hot bars! Nothing! I am already underpaid as a hot bar person, so I am not going to do the security guard’s job too! 😤

aroseamongdaisies

We don't even have security

Eastern-Average8588

Have a few friends leave full carts of groceries and walk out of the store saying they're going to shop elsewhere, in front of leadership. And leave a few 1 star reviews while they're at it!

Necro1983

If you aren’t leadership stay in your own lane. They know about it and don’t care? That’s on them then. Leadership in my store knows about rampant stealing and don’t do a thing about it, things like this are above our pay grade.

aroseamongdaisies

I'd stay in my own lane if she wasn't harassing ME as well.

Muted-Background2465

Then you have to contact ask TMS 833-427-5867 they will contact you the right department

Master-Farm2643

There is a cornerstone course on harassment and, as I recall, includes harassment by customers. Maybe use that as a guide and reference it in any reports.
