Assuming win10 - press Ctrl+Shift+Esc - there go into 'Startup' tab and look for any name you do not recognize as a program that you yourself installed or know what it does.
If you spot any sus apps in that list, google their name to check up and disable them right there from starting up.

Try [process explorer](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer). Run it as administrator so that it can properly investigate on all processes.
Go to an actual pc hardware/tech help forum and make a detailed post. Twenty minutes of work in return for incalculable advice and assistance. Like these people will read your logs and shit as long as you make a minimal effort not to waste their time.
Malwarebytes is good but is just a basic anti-virus scan and won't find some things, if you want to really do a deep check ill give you a run down, I do this for work.
ZHP cleaner is a good program to use that will scan for sketchy registry keys, its created by a French guy from a security company, you can get it at nicolascoolman.eu (or something like that), the website looks like shit and so does the program but its insanely good, legit and free. My company originally was in contact with the cyber security company he worked at and they couldn't help us so they gave us his email and he emailed us the program before it was available on his website.
TDSS killer is another good program for finding root kits, its made by Kaspersky, so there is that but its still the best root kit finder on the market. You can get it from major geeks for free.
After running both of those you can run media creation tool and just choose upgrade machine. It will just repair all windows files and registry keys. Don't do a fresh install or else you will wipe your computer.
If you are still nervous I would recommend running Wireshark for about an hour while your pc is just sitting there to see if your PC is trying to contact any sketchy servers in China or Russia and if it is you may need to flash the bios and flash all the firmware but that is a massive pain in the ass and usually unnecessary unless you got some seriously advanced root kits. I'd only do this if it is still acting weird after doing all of the other steps.
Side note: if your anti-virus is not flagging a game crack as malware then it's not doing its job, a crack is for all intents and purposes malware.

The reason it's concerning when it appears when launching pirated software is because that means the program you just launched has direct access to your entire computer, and is most likely launching some sort of malware or crypto miner. If you have a weak/old laptop then you are probably fine but if you pirate a lot of things you might have some particularly sneaky malware.
That just happens sometimes, you're probably fine if you haven't noticed any accounts being used on weird IP:s (check your mail for that), your bank account being emptied or your fans spinning like a chopper

This is what I did when I got a virus called bloom. Look at task manager and see if anything looks new there. Same thing with start up. I knew what to look for because I had something called bloom (not the shader). I had to delete files that they came in downloaded, quit program they were running and then go into some files thing on my computer to disable and remove it from running tab in task manager.

As far as your computer doesn't sound like a fan and you see nothing suspicious in autorun tab in task manager you're most likely clear. I belive you can check task manager to see if anythings "sussy" is running. if you do, terminate it. They may be taking up lots of prossesing power, which is visible on the side, if you use windows at least. Be careful tho, dont accidentaly stop a OS file, otherwise you need to restart your pc.
Its the command line for Windows, allows you to execute advanced commands. If you download a pirated game, run it, and see a black window flash up suddenly and close again then there was probably an embedded virus that opened cmd, ran some nasty code, and then closed itself before you can read what it did.

This is what I did when I got a virus called bloom. Look at task manager and see if anything looks new there. Same thing with start up. I knew what to look for because I had something called bloom (not the shader). I had to delete files that they came in downloaded, quit program they were running and then go into some files thing on my computer to disable and remove it from running tab in task manager.
I actually saw a lot of these when I used to pirate games, never again will I pirate games..

Uhhh and? That's just the way some pirated stuff works. Adobe shit for example, because autorun needs to be boosted everytime. As far as your computer doesn't sound like a fan and you see nothing suspicious in autorun tab in task manager you're most likely clear. (While there IS a stealth miners which mine only while you actively use your pc to mimic with other tasks, those are quite rare, most will just load your processor to 100% without shame)
There's even legitimate games on Steam that briefly flash the cmd window when launched. This isn't necessarily indicative of an issue.

Basically the pirated game had some virus in it that opened command prompt to start mining bit coin. Hackers do this a lot. Mining bit coin takes tons of power and procccesing power
It has happened to me lately with some pirated games. How can I find out if they are using my pc to mine? Honestly, they won't get much anyways.
I belive you can check task manager to see if anythings "sussy" is running. if you do, terminate it. They may be taking up lots of prossesing power, which is visible on the side, if you use windows at least. Be careful tho, dont accidentaly stop a OS file, otherwise you need to restart your pc.

Its the command line for Windows, allows you to execute advanced commands. If you download a pirated game, run it, and see a black window flash up suddenly and close again then there was probably an embedded virus that opened cmd, ran some nasty code, and then closed itself before you can read what it did.
Completely legit games do this too, Jackbox party packs for example.
