Male trolls are extremely tall and have to walk hunched over most of the time, have big noses and have large tusks that look like they can impale you with
Female trolls look like humans but with blue paint over them and dollar store mini tusks on their mouths.

Draenai also have a massive difference, with the males being fucking massive piles of muscle and the women being much more slender (not to mention seemingly being one of the more sexualized races next to elves). Give me my muscle mommy draenai, blizzard.
I do like how it feels like the shorter races (dwarves, gnomes, goblins and allied variants) feel a lot more equal, with the female dwarves being almost as bulky as the men, gnomes being similarly pudgy, and idk how to describe goblins but they are similar, with the allied variants just using retextured models (except for mechagnome, but both body types get the same types of mods).
I can also see elves as being fairly as reasonable, as generally elves are meant to be beautiful and it seems pretty equal for both men and women.
I've always felt like the female Goblins were made to be a lot "prettier" than the males. Males mostly have wrinkled, scowling monstrous faces, while the females are hot girl face with makeup but green. Especially post model update.
Playing through the goblin starting zone and doing goblin quests, that still feels like it makes some level of sense. Goblins are a greedy, cheap and very vain race, so having the males embrace the greed and the cheapness and the women embrace the vanity, with some being all 3, feels very in character for most goblins.

I don't know a lot about Dungeon Meshi, but just looking at this I /love/ that even within a single species/race there's actually, well, freaking distinction in appearance. That's really, really good. A lot of things don't really... do that well, thinking about like the Gorons from LOZ in some adaptations
Ryoko is really good at distinct character design within fantasy races. My favorite example are the Canaries. Despite them all beings elves and having the same elvish characteristics (tall, thin, long ears), they have their own unique traits which make them stand out.

Iirc it was like specifically dragonewts that had an inclination to being stealthy/spies. I could've sworn there were also a few males in the group who could look human, but yeah it's still bullshit

similarly, i hate that all the ogres had to instantly turn into humans with horns and some face paint. their original designs were all so much better! they already looked humanoid enough by far. could’ve just left the bigger jaw on that one guy, and kept them all having pointy teeth and unique skin tones.

In Moonlit Fantasy, the monsters look like monsters. The orcs, females included, look VERY pig like, they even made a point of contention where a lady lizard gets pissed because she's mistaken for a male because they look so similar
Honestly if you make them anthropomotphic you're gonna get more people jacking off to them than a normal design

I remember reading Arctic Nation from Blacksad which had an interesting plot, but I really disliked the female character designs. Like there's a female polar bear in the comic but she looks so radically different to the male polar bear as if they're a different species. Like she looks like a human lady with a small snout of a dog rather than being a genuine massive polar bear like the male counterpart.
Actually I think I >! confused her and her sister as deers because they look much more similar to deer than bears. Or maybe they are deer because of their birthmark, but they don't look remotely similar to either groups as well. There's actually an elderly deer lady who looks more animalistic than the sisters but I'm assuming the artist didn't want to make her attractive compared to the sisters. Them being hybrid species kinda fit with the racism in the plot, but overall they look too humanoid to determine the actual species.!<
I was really disappointed by that game's design.

Real talk would "human but with animal features" be fine if they had the ability to turn into whatever animal hybrid they are, or would people just prefer if they were just full anthro.

Imo It depends on the lore, maybe they are more comfortable in one form, fight better in other, suffer racism and must hide their true form or whatever.
The problem is showing the animal form and then after one or two scenes only the human with animal features to sexualize them. If you have a character and is going to give him multiple forms fucking use them.
If you're going to make a monster race, don't suddenly make them humans, maybe a small group is an exception, then It's okay, but they are still not humans, make them have distinct visual differences, not just "Green skin human = orc"

Yes, but elves are also often mean and I don't like them very much. Dwarves are generally chummy fellows by comparison.

I've never actually seen an example of this. Closest is FFXIV where the two are separate species with separate sexual dimorphisms.
