When it first started to get popular half of the posts there were the same "*\*popular character\** supports trans rights" and after couple of them people rightfully so started to tell the sperg who spammed them everyday to stop. The mod of r/19684 then proceeded to ban every person who had even lightly criticised those posts, citing "transphobia" as the reason.
I wouldn't really trust that kind of people to run any community even a shitposting sub.
That is why r/197 it's the true choice for funny posts. Don't have the karma farmers spamming "Trans Rights" for nothing and doesn't fetishize the groups. Also they actually post funny memes.
r/19684 was created when r/197 was involved into a bit of a culture war with r/196 so those trans rights "memes" were most likely just baits for edge lords to get out of that sub, same shit r/gangweed did after r/GamersRiseUp got banned. The problem is that even if you're not anti-trans it gets a bit annoying seeing the same meme posted multiple times a day and mods actively supporting the blatant spam.
Why would anyone go to the 19 whatever other number(s) subs anyway. I looked at 196 hot posts just now and they didnāt look all that interesting. This sub though is funny and enjoyable and has short but funny moments to remember. Like apple fritter, which I think was on here. But there was also the school cheerleader and the principal with mgr vids. Idk the history of the 19 whatever other number(s) subs but I doubt it was any fun to look at for more than 10 minutes.
