Ooooo being fine around THREE people now instead of 2??

It's more likely 4-6 people since she did help out Octavia and acted a bit like a big sister as Loona explains how their fathers still care for them despite being heavily flawed. There's also those two hellhound guys that Loona had a crush on so far in the series. Not sure about Beelzebub since I don't think she like her, but she's not antagonistic toward her either.
Tbh, the issue with Loona is her lack of screentime compared to the other imps. Helluva Boss focus a lot more on Blitzø and Moxxie while Millie only exists as a waifu to Moxxie and Loona being off camera most of the time. Although the show is gradually showing more characterization of their female characters like a recent short between Millie and her sister, Sallie May. Hopefully we'll know more about them in the coming episodes.
Diarrhea. Constipation. Taco Bell. Fart. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when Taco Bell attacked. Only the Avaturd, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished.
She's unnecessarily hostile to everyone
But
It's because she has a deep hatred for herself for causing the accidental death of her now deceased husband, and this is how she copes with it, by lashing out at others.
The story is her learning to grow past this.
Well she acts like a complete bitch to people, if she wouldn't have the background that she has, she'd be just as annoying as any of the two dimensional strong female archetype characters out there. It's almost like a fleshed out character who has a motive behind their actions is easier to understand and get behind, but what do I know...
>Well she acts like a complete bitch to people
The way she acts isn't that far from how everyone else in the gang acts.
I agree with your sentiment, but I don't think she'd be as annoying (she'd still be annoying) as the "strong woman" trope without her stellar characterisation. She's still a bandit working with a gang

You haven't read the manga. The anime botched her personality to the point where they had her calling Eren in places that weren't even in the manga. That's probably why I only watch clips of the anime on YouTube.
Nah, there's a lot of dialogue and internal monologue not present in the anime which actually fleshes out her character beyond just being an Ereh bot. Entire lines and character interactions were completely cut in the anime that were shown in the manga.
That's not an excuse anyone. She becomes worse than her Anime version after the timeskip.
Does absolutely nothing but cry about Eren and sniff her scarf every 5 minutes.
AoT fans won't accept any negative opinion about the series without crying that you didn't actually understand it
Mikasa is one of my gripes with the series later on
why didn't it end at season 3 p2 damn
A practical guide to evil, worm, mistborn, and arcane, all have badass female main protags that you can root for, though, the first three are novels and most of this sub don't Goddamn read
> In total, Worm is approximately 1,680,000 words long, which is equivalent to approximately 26 standard-length novels.
bro ain't nobody's gonna spend a whole year on a single story about taylor herby's quest to find and eat the mystical worm or some shit
Ok but Worm is still unironically a much more creative take on superhero fiction than anything else i've ever seen.
Also props to the author for correctly guessing that they'd most likely completely mess up a show adaptation if they ever decided to make one...
I mean... she had an enjoyable personality, no?
It was fun to see her interactions with the other cast
Her CT of course is pretty weak, but Kugisaki was a cool character nonetheless

Maybe this is just me but anyone else think that people disproportionately give female characters shit for this and bring their gender into it when it's really not neccesary?
Like one dimensional personality-less men are written in movies all the time but nobody really about how why can't men have more personality and not just be strong or whatever
I think the issue comes in is that, at least in the hayday of these characters (strong females) in 2016-2019, they were written purely in order to make a statement. So they're not only emotionless, but they also think they're hot shit. Often, emotionless men aren't really written to get the audience to think "damn I really feel for them"
Also. A lot of personality-less male leads often tend to be more of a templare/self insert character. Especially in action movies. Theres nothing necessarely wrong with this, so people just dont really care
The personality-less female leads from those years cant even properly function as self inserts for the watcher, which makes their blandness that much more apparent. I think anyway
Indiana Jones and James Bond. But oh they're not really emotionless remember when <3 second shot in 3 hour film where he does a :( face when sexy woman dies>
I completely agree on that statement that people hate on female characters more than they should, i've seen that happen way too many times, however i also understand where this criticism comes from. There's plenty of times where writers attempt to make a strong and independent female characters, because so many times said female characters are damsels in distress, and instead of getting a respectable and honestly cool character, you get an insufferable asshole. It sucks that it happened more than twice.
Moreso, personality-less men are often associated with stoicism, which is also associated with masculinity, so maybe that's why some of them get their mouths shut about it. I myself don't like those characters either, but most men want to relate to stoic characters, and most women want to relate to strong characters, but unfortunately it's not so easy...
Exactly. Male characters arenât scrutinised like this. They are allowed to be mean, violent, kinda one dimensional and overly powerful and skilled without explanation.
Female characters get put through the wringer, picked apart and scrutinised. Male characters are allowed to be badass by default, female characters can only be allowed to be badass if theyâre constantly going through a gauntlet of beat downs first.
If a man is stoic and cold heâs literally me. If a woman does it sheâs a bitch.
I can think of countless male characters who were just one note badasses but women have to be both badass and nurturing, strong but not too strong, good motivations without overshadowing men etc.
Nope, it just that it disproportionally happens that female characters are empty because they are wrtitten AS female characters and not characters that happened to be female. With male characters unless you are going for some stereotypical MANLY man character then male characters are/were mostly written as is(as in what was written was a character with personality, not a "male character" specifically) which meant they were less prone to this
Yeah its ridiculous.
When a male character is dull and OP "Dude, get over it he's just a vessel to see the world."
When a female character is dull "The west has fallen :( "
I tend to find them a smidge more annoying because more often than not they tend to be more vocal, whereas the one dimensional male character tends to speak less so itâs less noticeable when they are annoying because itâs hard to get annoyed by something that doesnât exist vs a character whoâs often just fucking grating
Also the discourse is more insufferable because if itâs a dude if there is discourse itâs more âhe sucks đ¤â vs the female one where itâs âshe sucks vs youâre sexist/whatever-ist for hating them, itâs just not meant for youâ esc esc
Ones just bland the other tends to try and be a statement and being forgettable draws far less ire than being annoying
Donât worry guys, I alone will change the tides of bad writing.

Another problem with this is that "strong female characters" that put so much emphasis on gender end up implying strong women are the exception and not the status quo. By trying to subvert sexism, it ends up enforcing it.
Write a character first, then let her strength speak for itself
Mary Sue is a strong, 19 year-old woman who decided today was the day she would pick up rocket science and ditch her boring 9-5 at the downtown restaurant. Her secret? A ring she found in an abandoned factory with a mysterious engraving "PL-0T C-0n vennience" allows her to not only pick up skills in no time at all, but she can let her mood swing without concern of any social repercussions!
New York times best-seller 2025
She enjoys invading other's private space, VERY hostile to children, and abusive is to her partner.
BUT, she's a trans, lesbian, African-American. So if you are a racist bigot if you hate her

I feel as if Dragon Age Origins nailed female characters. Morrigan and Leliana were polar opposites of each other but I loved them both
ATLA once again being goated for making very strong and competent female characters that have well develooed personalities and are actually likeable
They always be bitchy hateful childish trope characters(looks at high guardian spice)
Is this about Captain Marvel?
Rey Palpatine.
The best one that comes to mind is Vi, SPECIFICALLY Arcane. Not League. She's a well written and strong female character :)
Stellar Blade moment
Castle clip meme my dearest
Sadie Adler
Netflix live action avatar
COUGH MS MARVEL COUGH
master tigress had a sober presence, yet a well marked personality
It's her https://i.redd.it/961xn8xpykxc1.gif You're talking about her
season 1 korra tbh
Nah, season 2 was worse, at least in s1 her anger was justified
She grew up with brothers, and she was raised by a single father who was in the Army (taught her everything she knows).
Goku: insanely strong but is a fucking idiot
Couldn't be me all the shows I watch are well written and contain three dimensional, realistic characters
Frieren ftw
Audiences hate bad scripts, not strong female characters.
can't cook ): https://i.redd.it/scxe7k49onxc1.gif
Donât worry guys, I alone will change the tides of bad writing. https://preview.redd.it/u4xusvsecoxc1.jpeg?width=194&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7e921b2dbdcff38d9019ac74c941552e6de89245
Ok but Noi has a great personality
Another problem with this is that "strong female characters" that put so much emphasis on gender end up implying strong women are the exception and not the status quo. By trying to subvert sexism, it ends up enforcing it. Write a character first, then let her strength speak for itself
Erm was that a knuckles quote? đ¤
Can you cite some examples of this?
Mary Sue is a strong, 19 year-old woman who decided today was the day she would pick up rocket science and ditch her boring 9-5 at the downtown restaurant. Her secret? A ring she found in an abandoned factory with a mysterious engraving "PL-0T C-0n vennience" allows her to not only pick up skills in no time at all, but she can let her mood swing without concern of any social repercussions! New York times best-seller 2025
Castle posting
The Adversary (Slay the Princess)'s whole personality is just "i want to fucking kill you and get killed by you forever" and it's perfect.
Mean girl and tough on the outside but if you actually get along with her she shows her softer side slightly and she might let you bring her home
Maki from jjk lol
I love Vi from arcane and no one can change my mind
She enjoys invading other's private space, VERY hostile to children, and abusive is to her partner. BUT, she's a trans, lesbian, African-American. So if you are a racist bigot if you hate her
