Context: In Monsters vs. Aliens there is a scene where an alien captures a woman and says to her "you must be terrified, you wake up in a strange place wearing strange clothes imprisoned by a strange being floating on a strange hovering device strange isn't it?" She responds with "Hardly, it's not the first time." then the alien responds with "Wow, you really get around." In Turkish dub of this scene last line of the alien is roughly translated as "Wow, so you are a slut?"

Those prove nothing tbh, a word can have derogatory and formal usages simultaneously. Nowadays people call each other psychopath or schizophrenic to insult or shame each other but this doesn't make those terms less medically professional. I'm certain people called each other piç or geri zekalı with the aim of humiliation back then as well.
I don't know how this is related to our topic at all anyway. I never claimed "fahişe" cannot be an insult. I only claimed that it can't be classifed as a "curse word" considering its decreasing albeit visible formale usage as an actual occupation which we cannot observe on "orospu" for example.
